Teething. Now that’s a word that can make a parent cringe.  Dilly was a horrible teether…. oh my gosh… I don’t even want to relive those memories in my thoughts!  Sugar hasn’t been as bad, but she is still in discomfort and I hate seeing my little ones in any pain.  I really wasn’t comfortable giving her tylenol or orajel constantly because of the adverse reaction Dilly had to an OTC cold medicine, so I went on a search for something more natural.  I began using homeopathic teething tablets and then those were recalled!  I thought you have got to be kidding me??  And then I found it – an amber teething necklace from Inspired By Finn.
So now you’re wondering how can a necklace help my babies teething pain?
And I’m gonna tell you!
What is it?  Baltic amber beads are fossils from an ancient forest which existed tens of millions of years ago.  It is not a stone, but a fossilized tree resin.
How does it work?  When worn against the skin the body’s warmth releases trace amounts of healing oils from the amber.  Baltic amber has some of the highest concentrations of succinic acid found in nature which is what makes it so special!  The lighter colors contain more succinic acid and therefore give the greatest therapeutic benefit.  Inspired By Finn’s “milk and butter” necklace would contain the most succinic acid of all their necklaces.  Baltic amber contains analgesic properties which help take the edge off many types of discomfort – like teething for a cranky baby!
I love that the necklace has a screw clasp and that it is knotted between each bead.  Oh and I should mention – amber is soft and is not meant to be chewed on – the beads could break!  However, because of the knotting on the necklace if one bead should come off the other beads will not start to shift.
To get the greatest therapeutic benefit from your Inspired By Finn Baltic Amber Jewelry make sure it is making direct contact with your skin – tuck it underneath a shirt.  It should be worn as much as possible – adults can wear their necklace 24/7 (except when bathing).  Children/babies necklaces should be removed when sleeping.  Also wear the amber as close to the ailment you are trying to get relief from as possible – for example around the neck for teething discomfort/headache or around the wrist for arthritis in the hand.  Oh and cleaning your amber jewelry is super easy.  Just use a soft cloth and lukewarm water.
Does it REALLY work? YES!!!  Since I received Sugar’s necklace in the mail we have not used any tylenol or orajel for teething discomfort.  How awesome is that??  When she gets cranky now Dustin and Dilly will say “Where’s her necklace?”  I definitely recommend getting an Inspired By Finn necklace for your little one.  And get one before they even start teething – you might notice a super happy baby and all of a sudden teeth will appear with no symptoms – now that would be nice!
Make sure you’re a fan on facebook too – that way you can be notified of any coupon codes!  I’m almost positive that “POST” can get you 15% off right now.
I received a discount on an Inspired By Finn necklace.  I was not compensated in any other way.  All opinions expressed are mine and mine alone.

Thank you for this review. I am going to get one for the babe, I think she is teething as we speak. And I am also going to get one for my husband. He has terrible headaches and they say they work for that as well. Hopefully it does! Thanks again.

I keep one on my baby girl, although it gets lost in all her chins. She’s had teeth since 5 months old, going on 9 months now and 8 teeth. She’s been pretty good about it too, not much complaining, maybe the necklace is really doing it’s thing. Looks good on her too…
