Silly Moon Greeting Card Review

Did you know my girls were born on the same day exactly 2 years apart?  It was a crazy surreal experience and I loved every moment of it.  Dilly was present the entire time and cheered for me through Sugar’s labor.  The first question I seem to get from people when I tell them that the girls have the same birthday is if I will celebrate their birthday together or separately.  This is a silly question to me – of course I will have their family birthday party together – as they get older then can have separate friend parties if they want, but for now we will celebrate together.  I figure if I make a big to do about their birthday from the beginning they will enjoy having their party together.  Dilly will even tell you that she and her sister have the same birthday.  I decided for this years celebration I would go with a Sesame Street theme since it is fitting for both ages.  Over the next few weeks you will see lots of posts about party preparations and some giveaways too!
A couple months ago Michelle from Silly Moon contacted me and asked if I would like to do a review of her custom greeting cards and the girls birthday immediately popped into my mind.  I told her everything I wanted the cards to have and asked if she would be up to the challenge – I was so excited when she said yes! My requirements included:
– Sesame Street theme
– Clearly states that it is a party for both girls.
– States that Dilly would be turning 3 & Sugar would be turning 1.
– Incorporate the Sesame Street theme song.
– Bright vibrant colors
– And of course all the important details.
What Michelle came up with floored me!  I can’t believe how awesome these are!
My pictures truly don’t do these cards justice.  Oh and the parts that have been whited out are the girls “real” name and location.  But seriously – how absolutely adorable are these cards?  Michelle included absolutely everything I wanted plus more!  The cards are well constructed with high quality card stock and materials.  I can definitely tell these were put together with love and care.  It is obvious Michelle takes pride in her work.  Check out this super cute detail she added to the back of each card.
I am so excited to send these invitations out to all of our family and friends and I better get on it because the girls birthday is coming up soon!  Oh and Michelle doesn’t just do custom invitations – she also makes pendants, hand dyed playsilks, handmade beeswax crayons, and more.  Be sure to check out her website and facebook page for all her products, deals, and giveaways!
Comment below – If you were to order custom birthday invitations from Michelle what would your theme/idea be? After you comment below you can have 5 extra entries into any one active giveaway of your choice.  Label them “Silly Moon 1-5”
Please note – Michelle is dealing with a family emergency so she is taking a brief break from her shop, but she will be back – so be sure to like her facebook page so you know when she returns.
I received a set of custom birthday invitations to review.  I was not compensated in any other way.  All opinions expressed are mine and mine alone.

That is AWESOME! My girls bdays are 2 years apart too! only 7 days apart! We also celebrate the 2 during the weekend between them, too much fun parties!! Year 3 & 1 was the Elmo BDay. And you are right eventually they will want separate but for now, we are all friends with the same families anyways.
I've been thinking of what to do for the next theme as of now I have been thinking giraffes & hippos.

My daughter will be 1 soon, too. Her birthday theme will be cupcakes (pink & brown). Those cards are very cool!

For dd's bday this year our theme is going to be Hello Kitty. My theme would need to center around Hello Kitty but I would want a princess Hello Kitty since dd says she a princess! 🙂

My youngest turns 1 next month and I'm still debating over a theme. I'm leaning towards a sports ball theme since he loves to play roll the ball to Mommy and his older brothers. Very cute cards!

I LOVE those sesame street invitations. They are so adorable. We have had sesame street b-days for all 3 of my boys for the last 5 years. So if I was to choose custom invitations for my soon to be 2 year old I would definitely pick sesame street. My two oldest will be 4 and 6 in a couple of months and they are really into batman and superman so I would choose a superhero theme for them.
