I was a big fan of Fresh Baby‘s So Easy Baby Food Kit when I was making Sugar’s baby food – I made Dilly’s too but at that time I was just using ice cube trays. In fact I even wrote an awesome review for Fresh Baby about their Baby Food Kit and so when I found out they had launched some new products I was very excited to try them out with the girls. My nephew, Geronimo (love his blog nick name), got in on the fun too! We received four items to try out, so I am going to divide this review into two parts. In the first part I will talk about the Kid’s Plate & Book Gift Set and in the second part about the Baby Bowl and Divided Dish.
The gift set comes with the Kid’s Portioned Plate and So Easy Toddler Cookbook. Not long after starting my blog I wrote a review for the So Easy Toddler Cookbook which you can read here and see the yummy banana bread that Dilly and I made together. Not only is the plate colorful and vibrant so that it appeals to little ones, but it also provides support for parents to provide healthy meals for their munchkins. I love that the plate is divided into sections that are appropriately sized for fruits & vegetables, proteins, and grains. You won’t have to worry about serving your children on this plate because it is lead, BPA, phthalate free and it is very durable as well as dishwasher safe. We have cleaned the Kid’s Portioned Plate in the dishwasher numerous time and it still looks like the day we received it. It is available in English and Spanish and can be purchased on the Fresh Baby website for $8.95. The gift set costs $12.95. Check out Dilly and Geronimo chowing down with their Kid’s Portioned Plates.
We also got to try out the Baby Bowl and Divided Dish. This bowl is great for just about anything, but it would be perfect for taking homemade baby food on the go. It separates for easy cleaning, keeps food cool and warm longer, and the outside shell never gets too hot. I love the airtight lid because it is spill-proof and keeps food fresh. You can toss this in the diaper bag with the confidence that it will not spill open. Just like the Kid’s Portioned Plate it is lead, BPA, and phthalate free. The inside is made of stainless steel and is dishwasher safe and freezer safe. You can purchase the Baby Bowl for $9.95.
The Divided Dish has all the same great features as the Baby Bowl plus some more. The inside divider can be moved to three different positions or can be removed completely to accommodate different sizes of food.
I also love that the lid snaps on so that you know it will not come open inside your purse or diaper bag. This is perfect for transporting homemade baby food – you can put a fruit on one side and a veggie on the other. Since Sugar doesn’t eat baby food anymore we use it for snacks. The Divided Dish can be purchased for $12.95.
I definitely recommend the Baby Fresh products. Their plates, bowls, and dishes are all very high quality and the cookbooks are full of awesome recipes.
