The girls new bedroom only has one register that connects to the furnace/central air and so it can be hard to gauge what the actual temperature is up there.  We do have a window air conditioning unit and in the colder months a portable heater, but I thought it would be ideal to have a way to know the temperature of their room at a glance and that is exactly what the Gro-egg does.

Simply plug the power cord into an outlet and you’re good to go!  The Gro-egg glows four different colors which lets you know at a glance the temperature range of your little one’s room so that you can maintain a safe sleep environment.  Blue (too cold) with a sad face indicates a temperature of 60°F or lower, yellow (recommended) with a happy face indicates a temperature range of 61-67°F, orange (warm) indicates a temperature range of 68-75°F, and red (too warm) with a sad face indicates a temperature of 76°F or higher.

The girls bedroom typically tends to be in the orange range during the summer months even with the window air conditioner running nonstop, but since I am fully aware of the temperature I adjust their bedding and pajamas accordingly.  Recently with the temperature dropping with autumn around the corner we finally have landed in the yellow zone!  Dilly was so excited when the happy face appeared on the Gro-egg.

Another awesome feature is that the Gro-egg emits a gentle glow which means there is no reason to purchase a separate night light.  A two in one product = awesome.  I also love that the Gro-egg plugs into the wall because there are no batteries to replace. I highly recommend the Gro-egg and in a situation like ours where it is hard to regulate the temperature knowing at a glance what the exact temperature is I can adjust the bedding and pajamas to maintain a safe sleep environment which is extremely important to me.
