Bungalow Transformation: Lindsay’s Lights Review

Since we decided to go with light gray on the walls of the girls new bedroom I felt it was necessary to add orange and pink everywhere else possible – after all Dilly requested an orange bedroom!  I don’t know about you, but I really don’t like the plain white plastic light switch and outlet covers.  They just look so boring and blah.  And I definitely wasn’t shooting for “boring” for the girls new room.  As I was browsing around Etsy I stumbled upon Lindsay’s Lights and was amazed by her huge selection of covers and so I was very excited when she agreed to do a review.

Lindsay has been selling on Etsy for about three years with her main focus being on decoupaged light switch and outlet covers as well as mirrors and picture frames.  Outside of her crafty life Lindsay lives in Ithaca, New York while attending graduate school at Cornell University in the pursuit of a PhD.  In her spare time (I don’t know where she finds any, hehe) Lindsay enjoys playing video games and playing with her fluffy cat, Kodo.

Lindsay is very professional and has awesome customer service skills which extends all the way through to the packaging of her products.  Each cover comes wrapped in tissue paper inside a clear bag tied with ribbon with matching screws.

Chances are you will find exactly what you are looking for in Lindsay’s huge selection which includes polka dots, stripes, plaids, floral, geometric shapes, patterns, kids, marbled, and more.  And if not she will work with you to find exactly what you want!  Each piece has been covered in six layers of sealant to create a durable finish.

I absolutely love how our light switch and outlet covers turned out.  There are absolutely no air bubbles and they are very well made.  I love how the screws are painted to complement the cover as well.  They definitely add that pop I was looking for in their new bedroom and I highly recommend Lindsay’s Lights to anyone looking to add a little something extra to an other wise boring cover.  Lindsay’s prices are also super reasonable with a single switch and single outlet cover costing $7.

I do want to note that these covers are made to be used in the United States and Canada, but Lindsay is also open to international orders.  A few extra steps are required though including the purchaser sending her the correct covers from their country which she would then decoupage and send back.  Also make sure to like Lindsay’s Lights on facebook so you can stay updated on her new products and any deals she might post!

We received a selection of outlet and light switch covers to review.  I was not compensated in any other way.  All opinions expressed are 100% honest and are mine and mine alone.
