So far I have told you about monster hats, pants, and even toys – but no monster outfit would be complete without a shirt to go with it.  Did you know it is a bit hard to find monster shirts made for a girl?  Well it is, but once I found the girls monster shirt designed by Amy of HankOrange my search was over.  I was in awe over how adorable the shirt was and knew it would be a perfect addition to the Little Monster Prize Pack.  Oh and for those momma’s of boys – no worries – Amy also makes this shirt in a boy version!

Before I go on and on about how stinkin cute this shirt is or how adorable Sugar looks wearing it I want to introduce you to the talented woman who made it…. Amy is a proud Army wife and stay at home mom with one little boy and one dog.  For Amy sewing is a creative outlet and a “happy place” where she can create unique personalized items and share them with the world through HankOrange. The name of her shop is a combination of two of her favorite things – her son Hank and her favorite color orange!  I think Dilly would get along with Amy quite well, hehe.

So as I mentioned earlier Sugar received the girls monster shirt to try out.  Amy sews her creations onto high quality Cherokee shirts so they will definitely hold up well.  I love the technique Amy has used sewing the shapes onto the shirt with the seams in a little from the edge of the fabric and all squiggly like – yes I realize these aren’t proper sewing terms, but I am not a sewer, so bare with me, hehe.  Since that space has been left once the shirt is washed the edge of the fabric frays and gives the shirt a unique fuzzy look which is absolutely adorable.  I do wish that the monster “teeth” would have been sewn down because after being washed they have curled up… I suppose I *could* iron them down, but I’m not that domestic, hehe.  But that is my only constructive criticism – other wise I absolutely love the shirt!  Oh and Amy will add custom embroidery to the shirt as well – free of charge.  I chose “Mommy’s Lil Monster,” but you could pick anything!  Sugar has gotten so many compliments about her monster shirt everywhere we go and it’s no wonder why – check out how cute she looks!
