Stitchery Giftery

A few days I wrote about the amazing chalkboard frame that is hanging in my kitchen and the rustic handle on it that doubles as a handy towel bar.  Well of course I needed a primitive inspired towel to match my kitchen decor for this handle and that is what led me to Stitchery Giftery on Etsy.

Stitchery Giftery is owned by Angela Feenerty who resides in Martins Ferry, Ohio – not too far from me!  Angela has been sewing since the second grade when she made her first pair of gym shorts.  After that her mother and grandmother saw to it that she was taught all the homemaking skills that she would ever need.  Last year her husband of nearly thirty years and mother went together and bought her an awesome embroidery machine.  Angela quickly realized she needed an outlet to show case her craftiness and that is when she decided to open Stitchery Giftery on Etsy!  When she is not busy with her Etsy shop Angela can be found tending to the families rare breed livestock, poultry, and hive of honey bees on their small farm.  Angela and her husband are dedicated to living a simple life and consider themselves homesteaders of a modern sort – providing as much of their own food as possible through growing a garden, foraging, canning and otherwise preserving their harvest, as well as raising their “protein.”  Sounds like a home I would love to visit!

I was thrilled when Angela offered to send me a beautiful primitive kitchen towel.  Check out how perfect it looks hanging on the towel bar!  The towel the embroidery has been done on is a 100% cotton heavy towel in primitive colors of red and cream.  It is very generously sized at 20″ by 29″.  I absolutely adore the primitive designs that have been embroidered on this towel.  Did you know that the willow tree is the symbol of devotion and that the crow brings good luck?  I am very pleased with this towel – not only does it look great in my kitchen, but it is also very high quality.  The embroidery is beautiful and very well done with absolutely no loose threads.  And the price can’t be beat!  You can have this adorable towel hanging in your kitchen for only $10 plus shipping.

Angela has lots of other beautiful pieces in her shop too.  Browse around and you can find totes, pillows, clothing, and more!  These are just a few of my favorite items…

Angela is offering the same gorgeous primitive kitchen towel to the winner of the Kitchen Decor Prize Pack during the Made With Love event that will take place from November 8th through the 13th, so be sure to come back so you can enter to win that awesome prize.

In the mean time leave a comment below telling me what your absolute favorite item is from the Stitchery Giftery etsy shop… this will count as an extra entry when the Made With Love giveaway event starts.  You will simply have to click “I DID THIS!” beside “Comment on the Stitchery Giftery Spotlight Post” – easy peasy.

Angela s so talented. Thanks for reviewing her towel. I especially like her label pillows but my favorite is the Decorator pillow embroidered with stylized Maidenhair Ginkgo Leaves. Just beautiful.

I like this Redwork Honey bee and skeps embroidered kitchen towel (for myself; I just like honey bees-to look at), but wish they had something that had peaches embroidered on it, so I could get it as a wedding gift for a friend.

The puppy skull and crossbones are too cute! My little guys room is done in a pirate theme and I think those would look so cute in there on his chair!
