3.)  Link up with your pregnancy journal entry for this week at the bottom of my post – if you link to your blog’s home page unfortunately I will delete it from the list.

10 WEEKS PREGNANT

10weeks

This week Baby Harper #3 is roughly the size of a prune or 1.2” long and .14 pruneoz.  Baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development and is now beginning the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature.  He’s also swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver  — are in place and starting to function, though they’ll continue to develop throughout the coming months.  Tiny nails are forming on fingers and toes and peach-fuzz hair is beginning to grow on tender skin.  Baby’s limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Baby’s forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. And this is what Baby Harper #3 looks like this week….

About me & Baby Harper #3 this week….

Symptoms:   Tired and nauseated.  I have absolutely no energy.  The second trimester can’t get here quickly enough.  Oh and I am SO constipated….. I know ya wanted to know that. Haha.

Weight Gain: Haven’t gained a thing… still at 159 from last week.

Cravings:  I wanted Better Cheddar crackers and that cheese in  can one day….. I know, very random.

Food Aversions:  Freshly baked sweets.  My dad brought donuts over for the girls one morning and the smell sent me straight to the bathroom.

What made me cry this week:  Jamey Johnson “The Dollar”

Medical Stuff:  Wow…. the week was uneventful….. though I still am having some burning when going to the bathroom and my lower back is killing me.  I do have a doctors appointment coming up so hopefully they can address those issues and see if I still have the UTI.

Thoughts from Dilly:  She is still adamant that it’s a little boy in there.

Something I am excited about: Continuing to build my newborn diaper stash.  I have 10 so far and now want to wait til I find out the gender to get some specific diapers.
