Castaway Bay Indoor Water Park Resort

A couple weekends ago our family had the pleasure of attending a Castaway Bay Family Blogger Event.  Don’t know what Castaway Bay is?  No worries – it is a super fun indoor water park and hotel right down the street from Cedar Point where the forecast is always 82 degrees!  We received an over night stay, tickets to the water park, and got to attend a fun family event.  I must say I was super impressed with absolutely everything.  Every employee I came in contact with at Castaway Bay was super friendly and smiling.  They definitely made us feel welcome at the resort.  Our room was very nice and clean.  It included two double beds, a balcony, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron & ironing board.  There was a 25” color television in the room, but it didn’t get many channels and it was an older television….. this wasn’t a big deal to me though since we were spending the majority of our time at the water park.  We were also provided with a crib for Sugar…. though she wasn’t fond of it.  But in all honesty she isn’t fond of sleeping anywhere that is not her own crib in her own house, so that meant Dustin and I did not get much sleep either.

The indoor water park was loads of fun and had so many things to do!

Since Dilly and Sugar are still little they weren’t old enough to go on the water slides, so instead we had lots of fun splashing about in the Toddler’s Tide Pool.  It’s kinda funny, but Sugar was much more adventurous then Dilly and she loved the wave pool!  She also liked exploring in the Lookout Lagoon Family Funhouse with Dustin and letting the water come crashing down on her. Dilly preferred to stand back and watch the 1,000 gallon tipping bucket drench everyone else, hehe.  Dustin went down a couple slides and said they were really fun…. since Baby Harper #3 is baking I chilled out with Dilly in the toddler area the majority of the time.  Check out the kiddos having a blast.

  At the Blogger Event we chowed down on some pizza and the girls got to do a couple crafts.  The same crafts are available to guests of the hotel.  Make sure to grab a copy of the daily Island Times Newsletter from the front desk which will tell you about all the fun activities that your family can participate in.  From coloring Castaway Bay t-shirts, to face painting, or cookie decorating there is always something fun going on!  Be sure to get in on the fun.  The girls had a blast.

And so if you are looking for a fun filled family weekend getaway I highly suggest checking out Cedar Point’s Castaway Bay!  And right now there are even some awesome $99 specials in February and March that are definitely worth checking out.  Enjoy some family time in 82 degree weather.

  1. That place looks absolutely AMAZING! I miss the waterpark we used to have here- it wasn’t indoors though, and since it gets up to 120 degrees here in the summer, we could totally use an indoor one here! {Hint, hint, Castaway Bay!}

  2. I so wish we had something like this where I live! Fun for the whole family! Looks like y’all had a blast :) .

  3. OOOooo looks like fun! We definitely need a day away and a water park might just fit the bill. Thanks for info, I’ll check them out!
