There are only three super simple rules that must be followed.

2.)  Copy & paste the questions you feel comfortable answering.
3.)  Link up with your pregnancy journal entry for this week at the bottom of my post – if you link to your blog’s home page unfortunately I will delete it from the list.

Did you catch that picture??  Baby Harper #3 is a GIRL!!  I totally knew it.  We went to a local 3d ultrasound facility over the weekend with Dilly and Sugar.  They really enjoyed seeing their baby sister on the television screen, but baby sister didn’t want to cooperate.  She was all curled up and just kept showing us her super cute booty, hehe.  And so unfortunately I don’t have any awesome pictures yet, but we are going back in two weeks to see if she will cooperate with us.  So from now on Baby Harper #3 will be referred to as Baby Girl.  This week Baby Girl is approximately the size of an avocado avocadomeasuring 4.6” long and weighing 3.5 ounces.  Her legs are much more developed, her head is more erect than it has been, and her eyes have moved closer to the front of her head. Her ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of her scalp has begun, though her locks aren’t recognizable yet…. I wonder if she will have a full head of hair like Dilly and Sugar. And she’s even started growing toenails!  Plus there’s a lot happening inside as well. For example, her heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day.  And this is what Baby Girl looks like this week…

About me & Baby Girl this week….

Symptoms:   This week has been rather good.  I have been having a bit of lower back pain and I’m having some trouble sleeping at night… not because I’m uncomfortable – I just find myself wide awake for some reason.  I still am wearing my PsiBands for morning sickness and having to eat about every 2 hours or the nausea creeps up on me.  Oh and the pimples… so many….

Weight Gain: + 1/2 pound…. which puts me at 157 1/2 pounds total.

Cravings:  I don’t think I have had any specific cravings this week, basically everything has just started sounding good.  On Monday night at bowling league I had eaten beef tips and egg noodles before the games started.  Then I wanted cheese sticks, pickles, a kit kat bar, and pretzels….. it’s a wonder I didn’t gain more than a 1/2 pound this week, hehe.

Food Aversions:  If can eat sweets not, but only small amounts… if I eat too much I start to feel sick.  I still don’t really like the smell of freshly baked sweets though.

What made me cry this week:  Oh gosh…. I have cried a lot.  Mainly because after finding out that we are having another girl and talking to Dustin about a name he let me know that he hates the name I want.  And well that is the only name I want.  I basically decided that I am not gonna talk about it anymore until he brings it up because I don’t have any other suggestions because nothing else sounds right to me.  So if we don’t talk about it until Baby Girl is born that is fine with me.  I have decided to put all my energy into working on the nursery which is going to be a girly squirrel theme, trust me it is going to be adorable!  I will be posting pictures and progress updates too.

Medical Stuff:  I don’t really have any medical stuff to update you on for once!  When we went to the 3d ultrasound Baby Girl’s heartbeat was a strong 154 bpm, but gosh is she lazy.  She seriously would not move unless they jiggled my belly all around and then it looked like she was just kicking us away, hehe.  I really wish she would start being more active so I could feel those little jabs.  Kinda reminds me of my mom talking about her pregnancy with me… I guess I barely moved, to the point of really scaring her about my health and I am still rather laid back now, well unless you tick me off.  So maybe Baby Girl will be like that as well?

Thoughts from Dilly:  Before we went in the ultrasound room she told Dustin that he was not allowed to talk during the ultrasound.  While it was going on he was trying to explain to her what she was seeing and what was going on, but she was getting rather annoyed and kept saying “QUIT TALKING DAD!!!!” hehe.  Dilly also drew a picture of me this week which included my belly with the baby in it, so sweet!  I posted it in my Wordless Wednesdayif you would like to check it out as well.

Something I am excited about: Working on my girly squirrel nursery!  I have ordered all of the furniture and found an awesome rocking chair on Craigslist.  Plus I have so many projects to start like framed silhouettes of squirrels/acorns and a lamp that looks exactly like an acorn!!  So cute!!

Oh! 3 girls! You’re going to have a LOT of cuteness in your household!!! Congrats! Good luck with a name. I can’t get my husband to talk about names. We have a few we both like, but he won’t commit to anything. It’s like they are all “just ok” to him, nothing he loves. Sigh. I’ve pretty much decided on the name in my mind, I just need him to agree! 🙂 Oh, and don’t worry, he shot down all my favorites too. Like, totally crossed them off the list and made fun of them. Ugh! I tried to just put those names out of my mind so that it won’t bother me.

  2. Yay another girl! (I guessed girl). Choosing a name and agreeing on one is so tough! We didn’t have trouble with our first…if she was a girl, and she was. This time, we haven’t had much luck, but have finally agreed on a few. He shot down my favorite names too! What is it with guys? 🙂

I totally understand the name thing…Corey had his boy name picked out since before we ever started dating but as for the name I picked for a girl well he shot that down and made fun of it and a few others I had picked out before we agreed on a girls name. (We had to have both a boy name and a girls name since we decided to leave the gender a surprise). Good luck with name thing and I cant wait to see the nursery and to see what fabrics you pick out for your covers I get to sew! Im so excited for you!!!
