pregnancy journalWelcome to the “My Pregnancy Journal” meme, so if you are a pregger blogging mama then you will definitely wanna link up.

There are only three super simple rules that must be followed.

1.)  Grab the button from my right side bar and place in your post.
2.)  Copy & paste the questions you feel comfortable answering.
3.)  Link up with your pregnancy journal entry for this week at the bottom of my post – if you link to your blog’s home page unfortunately I will delete it from the list.

And this week Baby Girl is about 6 inches long and weighs 8.5 ounces – mangoroughly the size of a mango.  Baby’s sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now.  Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting – wonder if she will have a head full of hair like Dilly & Sugar. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.  And this is what she looks like this week…

About me & Baby Girl this week….

Symptoms:   Some more headaches and a touch of morning sickness here and there.  Oh and I noticed my ankles getting a little swollen on days that I was on them a lot… not looking forward to cankles, hehe.

Weight Gain: -2 pounds, so 158 1/2 pounds….. why this occurred will be quite obvious in the medical section.

Cravings:  Nothing really…..

Food Aversions:  Nada…. I’m to a point of wanting to eat it all.

What made me cry this week:  Wow…. I don’t think I cried this week…

Medical Stuff:  Tuesday evening my throat started hurting.  Wednesday morning when I woke up I knew I had strep throat.  Called the OB and got an appointment for later that morning…. sure enough I had strep throat.  Luckily I got on an antibiotic quickly (and diflucan because I knew a yeast infection was on the way with taking an antibiotic) which cleared things up within a few days.  However during those few days I barely ate anything – just made sure to stay hydrated and that is why I am pretty sure I lost those pounds.  Let’s just say strep throat sucks, especially when you’re pregnant.

Thoughts from Dilly:  Tonight we attended my sister-in-law’s wedding…. while at dinner afterwards I absolutely devoured my food – I was so hungry!  Dilly looks at me and says “Wow momma!  The baby must have been super hungry!”

Something I am excited about: To start putting together the nursery furniture!  Dustin has one more coat of paint to do and then we can put the furniture together.  Oh and I have lots more crafty ideas to do for the room as well…. eeeeek, can’t wait!

I think that your peicvestrpe is deep, it’s just well thought out and really fantastic to see someone who knows how to put these thoughts down so well. Great job on this one.

I agree with Erica. I am an introvert, all the way. That does not eaqute with being shy . I am absolutely not afraid to speak up if I have something to add to the conversation, which I often do, as I spend more time listening than talking and can distill things to a point where my contribution can be short, efficient and sweet . Calling on me in a meeting would be completely counterproductive, in fact, it would make me pretty angry as it would be obviously manipulative. If I have something to say, you WILL hear about it. If I don’t, it could be because your meeting is a lot of talk about talking or some other nonsense.

e5Intriguing point of view. I’m curious to feel what type of impact this would have globally? Sometimes individuals get a little upset with global expansion. I’ll be about soon to take a look at your response.24

Brava, piu’ li ignori, piu’ li fai schiattare d’invidia! <3
