Sometimes when new moms are getting the hang of breastfeeding or would just like some extra coverage while out in public a nursing cover is a necessity.  That is exactly the situation that Claire Ekelund found herself in when nursing her infant daughter in public.  And so Bebe au Lait’s first and best known product was created out of necessity – the Hooter Hider (the name just makes me giggle, hehe).  Since then Bebe au Lait has grown to include three brands:  Hooter Hiders, Bebe au Lait, and Lille.  I received a Bebe au Lait nursing cover and burp cloth gift set to try out…. so excited for Baby Girl to get here and really get some use out of it!

I was immediately drawn to the Chateau Endive pattern.  I just love the combination of cream and light green, plus the pattern just seems to ooze elegance.  Each deluxe gift set comes with one nursing cover and three matching burp cloths.

There are so many things I love about this nursing cover.  It is very large measuring at 26” by 36” so you can easily remained covered without worrying about having a wardrobe malfunction, hehe.  Many covers I have had in the past left Dilly and Sugar a sweaty mess when they were done nursing, but I won’t have to worry about that with the Bebe au Lait nursing cover.  It is made from a single layer of 100% breathable cotton for cool comfort.  I also love that the top of this nursing cover is made using RigiFlex which allows you to easily see your baby and for baby to see you, plus gives excellent ventilation.  Oh and there are two internal terry cloth pockets that are great for stashing nursing pads, pacifiers, or for a quick clean up.  This nursing cover truly does have it all for the moms that needs some extra coverage.

As I mentioned the set also comes with three matching burp cloths.  The burp IMG_0639cloths are super soft and are made from two layers of super absorbent terrycloth.  The edge piping is made of 100% cotton and adds a beautiful finishing touch.  Each burp cloth measures approximately 17” by 6” and I love the idea that you can use them when baby is young as intended and as they grow as a nice large wash cloth.

At Bebe au Lait you can purchase the burp cloths and nursing covers separately, but when purchased together in the deluxe gift set you will save $5 – makes more sense to me!  Make sure to check out the Bebe au Lait website for all the beautiful pattern options.  Here are just a few more that I loved as well…

  1. Hmmm… I’ve been debating weather or not I wanted to investing a nursing cover this time around. This looks more elegant than the one I had a few years ago, thanks for the review!

  2. I LOVE that print! The internal terry cloth pockets are a huge plus, too! Thanks for sharing your review! I will be keeping this company in mind whenever we have another little one :) .

Love the mint chocolate print. I use a nursing cover when we are out running errands.

  4. Mayla Moore says:

Kensington is one of my favorites too! Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. I really like the Ascot and the Parfait. I am due in 5 weeks and we have no idea if it’s a boy or a girl! We are so excited and can’t wait to see what we get. I would use it all the time. It just makes it easier because I have older kids as well and I prefer to stay modest around them as well as when I am out in public.

  6. Amanda Alvarado says:

I love the Hot Dots print! I would more than likely be using this when out and about (I’m like you, I would rather bring my baby and feed him/her). I don’t mind not being covered but I know some people are uncomfortable so I will usually cover up.

  7. Addison Kat says:

I love the Kensington print and I’d use it most when I’m out and about with my kids. This will be my 3rd so I’m over being shy about nursing my child but I know it makes some people uncomfortable so I would cover up.

  8. Heidi says:

I love the Chateau Silver pattern and I would most use it at church and when I’m out and about nursing my baby.

  9. I like the mint chocolate

  10. Joy Pablo says:

I love their Sevilla pattern. I would definitely use the cover when we are out eating dinner or at the stores. I refuse to go into a germ infested bathroom to feed my child. Seriously who wants to eat in a disgusting bathroom

  11. I used a nursing cover while baby was small, with 2nd I think I will use one too.

  12. Kathy Davis says:

My favorite pattern is the Chateau Endive pattern. Most use a nursing cover while traveling.

  16. Sara R says:

I like the bubbly looking print. I just ordered a different nursing cover because I hate the one I’ve got — it’d be great to have this one as an alternate!
