Making a Difference with Johnson’s Baby Cares

So I was sitting here thinking about this past Mother’s Day and how it’s IMG_1318wonderful to have a day to celebrate the women in our lives that we love and have made an impact on our lives.  But for me I love celebrating being a mother everyday.  I am so grateful that I am able to stay home with my girls and watch them grow up.  And that with my husband’s income we are able to provide them with everything they need plus lots of extras that aren’t really necessary at all, hehe.  But it breaks my heart that some mom’s out there aren’t as fortunate.  That even though they love their children with all their heart and soul there may be a time that they just can not provide even the bare necessities – for example after a natural disaster.  Heck, that could even happen to us…. though natural disasters are few and far between in Ohio.

johnsons4And so I was very excited to hear that Johnson’s Baby – trusted partner to moms and babies for more than 100 years – has recently announced a new partnership with Save the Children which is an organization dedicated to improving the health of moms and babies worldwide.  Here is a bit more about their partnership:

JOHNSON’S® BABY CARES & SAVE THE CHILDREN
Moments of joy are important to families, especially during times of difficulty and disaster. Our work with Save the Children will help keep families happy and healthy, ensuring they continue to find these joyful moments, no matter the situation.  To assist families, the makers of JOHNSON’S® Baby products, alongside parent company Johnson & Johnson, are making a multi-year, multi-million dollar contribution to Save the Children that will help create and sustain key initiatives.  In 2012 we will:

Star  Donate and distribute thousands of JOHNSON’S® Baby “Care Kits” (stocked with baby care essentials – lotion, shampoo, diaper cream, baby wash), providing families with baby care essentials immediately after a disaster. This commitment is an extension of our existing product donation efforts aimed to meet baby care needs in the U.S. and around the world.

Star  Provide funding that enables Save the Children programming, such as Child Friendly Spaces, which supplies moms and children with safe areas to recover, play and experience the joy of being together as a family following a disaster.

Plus Johnson’s will donate an additional $50,000 to Save the Children when they achieve 500,000 views on their “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom — You’re Doing OK” video….. and guess what?  Last time I checked the video had 537,440 views!  How awesome is that??  But it is a super cute video and you should still take a few seconds to check it out….

“I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Johnson & Johnson and received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”
