Welcome to the “My Pregnancy Journal” meme, so if you are a pregger blogging mama then you will definitely wanna link up.
There are only three super simple rules that must be followed.
1.) Grab the button from my right side bar and place in your post.
2.) Copy & paste the questions you feel comfortable answering.
3.) Link up with your pregnancy journal entry for this week at the bottom of my post – if you link to your blog’s home page unfortunately I will delete it from the list.
27 WEEKS PREGNANT
Baby Girl weighs almost two whole pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long –
roughly the size of a rutabaga. She’s sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, baby’s brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don’t bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle. And this is what Baby Girl looks like this week….
About me & Baby Girl this week….
Symptoms: Lots and lots and lots of movement. Baby Girl is practicing her ninja moves I do believe, hehe. I’ve noticed it’s getting a little difficult for me to stand up when I’ve been sitting a while, especially rolling outta bed in the morning. But other than that I have been doing rather well!
Weight Gain: – 1/2 pound, putting me at 166 pounds total…. I started at 161, so a total of 5 pounds up.
Cravings: I NEED Sonic ice. Seriously…. I will drive there to get a drink just
so I can have the ice. It is the best ice ever. Hubby tries to tell me all ice is the same and he just doesn’t get that you should never argue with a pregnant woman and no matter what you say all ice is NOT the same.
Food Aversions: Well I still do not even want to think about Taco Bell…. so ya definitely an aversion.
What made me cry this week: Well I didn’t actually cry, but this morning Dilly said something that really made me emotional. She was sitting with me on the couch and put her arm around me then said “Mama when I get big I want to be a mama just like you.” Seriously melted my heart.
Medical Stuff: I am started every two week appointments…. that means the end is getting near and I am excited, but yet I don’t want this pregnancy to end. I am trying to enjoy every minute of it. And I just realized that next week I enter the third trimester… how crazy is that??
Thoughts from Dilly & Sugar: Well both girls think my belly button is “ewww” which is just not nice! Haha. They like to try to push it in and don’t quite believe me when I tell them it won’t be going back in for a while, haha.
Something I am excited about: Starting my prenatal water aerobics class and signing Dilly n Sugar up for swim lessons too! I need to be in the water so I can feel weightless. Plus it will be fun too.

I just thought I would mention that the Sonic’s around here sell bags of ice, so you might be able to buy the ice in bags there too. That way any 2am cravings are covered lol…and Sonic ice is completely hands down better ice than the rest (it’s softer).
Sonic ice reminds me of the ice you get in the hospital. Easy to chew and just all around better! Congrats you look awesome
Love sonics ice I have to agree it is the best. Oh and reading what dilly said to you about being a mama one day just made me a little misty eyed. (pregnancy hormones
) Enjoy every minute that you have left of this pregnancy I know I missed it after I had Corbin.
LOVEEEEE that kind of ice!! And thanks to the comment above… I am calling Sonic today to ask if they sell ice!! Oh and tell your hubby – there IS a difference in ice – they are all NOT the same! I crave ice for the last few months of every single pregnancy, it’s insane!
Your hubby is SO wrong. Sonic ice is something special. I actually told Nick this time around that when I go into labor I expect him to go to Sonic and buy a whole bag of the ice for our freezer. (You know you can buy bags of it, right?) I usually go there and get a drink AND an extra bag of ice, LOL. It’s an addiction.
You look great! That’s awesome that you’ve only gained 5 pounds! I’ve gained at least 25, I think. And I already started with an “outie” belly button, so mine is definitely “ewww” now! Haha. I’m 33 weeks and next week with be the first time I go to appointments every 2 weeks, so your Dr. must start doing that a lot sooner! I gotta admit, I’m ready for the aches and pains of pregnancy to be over!
I follow your blog weekly & just wanted to pop in and tell you that you look beautiful!
