I am always on the lookout for clothing and household items for the entire family that literally ooze comfort, because in my opinion if you’re not comfortable how can you enjoy life to the fullest?  And so when I found Yala Designs I literally fell in love.

First I want to tell you a bit about the company because I always find it interesting how companies got their start and in the case of Yala Designs it was pure happy accident.  In 1987 Larry and Nancy were two young English teachers living and working in Fujian, China with their six year old daughter.  The entire family loved exploring and would find themselves sleeping in all sorts of places when evening came – sometimes even on the grassy ground.  That is when they got the idea to come up with an idea that would protect and nurture them when sleeping in places that were unfamiliar to them.  And so they stitched together to well worn sheets which would later become the very first DreamSack.  In 1996 they officially became a family company and have grown tremendously since with all sorts of wonderful clothing and household items for the entire family.  They are the clothes you really live your life in – Alleigh and Kaelyn can definitely agree!

My girls each received a Bamboo Dreams Gumdrop Tunic & Shorts Set in different colors which worked out perfectly because I absolutely adore matching them!  I went with the Jade/Beach Glass color combo for Kaelyn and the Raspberry/Peach combo for Alleigh – both are absolutely stunning colors.  But what is most impressive is how absolutely soft these outfits are and they almost feel weightless on the girls.  They are made of 95% Viscose from Bamboo and 5% Spandex.  I love how this fabric works with their body to keep them warm if the temperature drops a bit or cool if it rises.  Plus it is organically grown in sustainably managed forests – how awesome is that?  Not to mention it is very durable and can withstand many many many washings.  This is by far one of my favorite outfits for the girls and so it gets worn a lot which then means it gets washed a lot and they still look brand new!

The other day after swimming at a local pool the girls changed out of their bathing suits into the Bamboo Dreams Gumdrop Tunic & Short sets and had a blast in the super hot heat riding carnival rides, blowing bubbles, roasting marshmallows, and lots more.  Plus they looked super cute the whole time – don’t get much better than that!
