29 WEEKS PREGNANT
This week little Willow weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is a
little over 15 inches long – roughly the size of a butternut squash which happened to be Kaelyn’s favorite homemade baby food! Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. And because her bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk because about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby’s hardening skeleton each day. And this is what she looks like this week…
About me & Willow Jean this week….
Symptoms: The heart burn has arrived…. the last two nights have been unbearable. Last night it got so bad that I came out and attempted to sleep sitting up on the couch, but that didn’t work too well because when I am sitting Willow likes to get in my ribs which hurts really bad too, hehe. And so I still had heart burn with a baby in my ribs! But while I was enduring this pain I looked up some natural remedies… one of which included mixing baking soda with water and drinking it so I made sure Dustin picked some up for me in case the heart burn starts up tonight again. I’ll let ya know if it works! Oh and I also have this dark red raised rash on the inside of my right thigh.. but that’s the only place. No clue where it came from, but I am gonna ask the doctor about it for sure.
Weight Gain:-1 pound, putting me at 168 pounds total…. I started at 161, so a total of 7 pounds up.
Cravings: I didn’t really have any distinct cravings this week. Well, I take that back… Dustin was going to the mall to get Steak Escape and I decided that I wanted chicken teriyaki over rice. Turns out the restaurant that serves it is closed for remodeling. Ya, mama wasn’t happy!
Food Aversions: Well it seems no matter what I eat now I get the awful heart burn… which is no fun at all…. yet I am still eating everything. Haha.
What made me cry this week: A few country songs got me misty eyed…
Medical Stuff: I guess it’s kinda medical…. I had to get permission from my OB to take prenatal water fitness classes and they ok’d it which meant I could start classes on Monday. I absolutely love being in the water, but boy oh boy was that a work out. The class is an hour long and while I was doing it I felt great, but when it was over I was definitely exhausted! Alleigh and Kaelyn are also signed up for swimming lessons on Friday mornings so I am definitely getting my fill of the water now – loving it though.
Thoughts from Alleigh & Kaelyn: Dustin is on days this week, so he gets up to get ready for work around 6:45AM because he has to be there at 8…. well the girls typically wake up around 7AM and tend to run in our room and wanna cuddle in bed with me. This means Alleigh’s hands are all wrapped up in my hair and Kaelyn’s fingers are jammed in my mouth – so I am definitely not sleeping anymore. With this heart burn and lack of sleep at night I have been having Dustin take them out in the living room in the morning and putting the gate up while he gets ready so I can get just a few extra minutes of sleep. Well this morning I said something about “I didn’t get any sleep last night because I had to sleep sitting up” and Alleigh bolts up right, closes her eyes, and goes “LIKE THIS????” Ya I about died.
Something I am excited about: Well obviously I am getting more and more
excited about the big day getting here – I can’t believe it is only nine or so weeks away! I figure it will be close to nine weeks since Alleigh and Kaelyn were both born at 38 weeks. Oh and check it out I actually painted my toe nails this week. It took a while and quite a few breaks, but I did it! Please don’t mind my ugly feet and toes – I am just proud I did it, hehe.
