pregnancy journalWelcome to the “My Pregnancy Journal” meme, so if you are a pregger blogging mama then you will definitely wanna link up.

There are only three super simple rules that must be followed.

1.)  Grab the button from my right side bar and place in your post.
2.)  Copy & paste the questions you feel comfortable answering.
3.)  Link up with your pregnancy journal entry for this week at the bottom of my post – if you link to your blog’s home page unfortunately I will delete it from the list.

This week Willow is about 15.7 inches long and she weighs almost 3 lettuce1pounds – roughly the size of a head of cabbage.  A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in my uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it’s not very keen; even after she’s born, she’ll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she’ll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. And this is what she looks like….

About me & Willow Jean this week….

Symptoms:  Well I am very sore, but that has to deal with the lovely fall I took the other night.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about I devoted my Never Wordless Wednesday to it this week.  I’m still getting the heart burn and reflux, but as long as I don’t eat anything about three to four hours before I go to sleep I tend to be alright.  Though ya know I am always hungry around bed time – of course!

Weight Gain: +1/2 pound, putting me at 168 1/2 pounds total…. I started at 161, so a total of 7 1/2 pounds up.

Cravings:  Oh my gosh I want black raspberries soooo bad, but they don’t come in season til the end of June – beginning of July.  Luckily I found a lil fruit orchard around here that sells them and has pick your own so I am super excited about that.  Can’t wait til I can have a big bowl of black raspberries with milk and sugar!

Food Aversions:  Well if I eat late at night I get heart burn so I try to just avoid eating then… though sometimes that’s just not much of an option.

What made me cry this week:  Two things actually made me cry this week.  The first was when I had my big fall I came downstairs and called Dustin to see what he thought I should do.  He told me to call the doctor… I said I would and if I needed to go to the hospital I would just see if the neighbor could come sit at our house since the girls were in bed already.  And he said “No, just call me back and I will tell my boss I have to leave now.”….. see sometimes I think Dustin thinks I overreact about things, but hearing the sound of his voice let me know that he was really concerned about Willow and me… and so the tears just poured plus I was really scared because I wasn’t feeling her at that moment.  The second time I teared up was going through boxes of clothes.  The first box I opened contained newborn clothes… and the first outfit I picked up was Kaelyn’s coming home outfit.  I can’t believe it has been over two years since she was born.  So crazy.

Medical Stuff:  I had an OB appt on Tuesday which was perfect timing since my fall was the night before.  I was able to go in and hear her heart beat again and everything was perfect.  Oh and my OB also prescribed me some cream for this lovely red rash on my inner right thigh.  It’s already starting to take the rash away which is awesome because it was itchy and just ugly.

Thoughts from Alleigh & Kaelyn:  Kaelyn thinks my belly button is absolutely hilarious and she is positive that Willow is directly in my belly button, hehe.  Plus she can say Willow Jean so clearly and it just melts my heart every time.IMG_1927

Something I am excited about: Finishing the nursery!  I finally found a base for a table lamp that I like so watch out for that tutorial soon.  And that also means that very soon I will be showing pictures of the entire completed nursery…. squirrels and acorns galore!  I just love it.  I also went and visited my friend in the hospital who just had her baby – Kylie Morgan and got to hold her.  It gave me a lil glimpse into what the future holds with three girls….. eeeeeekkkkk, so exciting!!
