aden+anais Muslin Swaddling Blanket Review & Giveaway

When Kaelyn was born she loved to be swaddled, but I always felt like she was going to over heat in the swaddling options that were made of thick fabric and had velcro all over them like baby straight jackets.  I knew there had to be a better option and there definitely is.

With the arrival of baby Willow Jean right around the corner we finally get to try out the aden+anais muslin swaddling blankets.  Before I even pulled them out of the package I knew they would be incredibly soft from our experience with aden+anais crib sheets and dream blankets.  Both of which Alleigh and Kaelyn absolutely adore.

For Willow I chose the “for the birds” classic muslin collection of swaddling blankets which are even more gorgeous in person.IMG_2351  When I first opened the package I was greeted with that exceptional softness that one can only find in 100% natural cotton muslin.  The blankie that has the large amounts of pink and gray dye was a tad bit stiffer then the rest… and when I say a tad I mean still as soft as a cloud, hehe.  However, after washing one time they were all super soft and with continued washing will only get softer.  Plus I will never have to worry about Willow overheating in her aden+anais swaddles – the lightweight muslin allows air to circulate around babies body while still providing comfort and warmth.  My plan for night time and nap time is a onesie and muslin swaddle once Willow arrives.  Plus during the colder months aden+anais offers the Cozy Muslin Collection which is double the thickness of the classic collection.

Not to mention these muslin swaddles are very generously sized at 47” by 47” IMG_2353which means not only can you swaddle a very large baby, but they are also useful for many other things.  Just a few examples include stroller/infant seat cover, burp cloth, nursing cover, tummy time blankie, changing table cover, portable crib sheet, and most likely your little one will decide that their super soft swaddles will become their lovies as well!  Since Willow obviously isn’t here yet to model how awesome the aden+anais swaddles are I decided to check on their Facebook fan page where I found many fans sharing pictures of their adorable babies all snug in their swaddles and gosh so darn cute too.  If the looks on these peaceful babies faces don’t tell you how truly awesome aden+anais swaddles are… well then nothing will prove it to you!

Be sure to check out the aden+anais website because they have so many different gorgeous styles of swaddles – plus organic and bamboo collections as well.  I will definitely be packing my aden+anais swaddles in the hospital bag…. I totally remember the stiff blankets from the hospital that my girls would bust out of in a matter of seconds.  And guess what?  You have the chance to win one here!
