In my opinion when decorating a nursery it’s the small accents that truly pull everything together. And with my squirrel/acorn theme made up of browns/tans/pinks I was having a rather difficult time finding accent pieces to finish up Willow’s room. And then I remembered Beyond Bedding where I had gotten a beautiful toddler bedding set for the girls bedroom upstairs and thought I would check them out.
And wouldn’t ya know they have just about every room accent piece you could think of including hampers, lampshades, decorative pillows, wall décor, crib mobiles, changing pad covers, and floor rugs – which is what I was looking for – yay! I figured the best place to start would be typing “rugs” in the search bar and I was shocked at how many designs popped up. At Beyond Bedding they have floor rugs to match all of their crib bedding sets perfectly and add that perfect finishing touch. Now since I had completely designed Willow’s nursery from floor to ceiling on my own I couldn’t simply click on the bedding set I had chosen and get the matching rug – instead I browsed through the rugs and found quite a few options that would work in her room. I finally settled on the Pink and Brown Mini Polka Dot Accent Floor Rug. Check out the before and after pictures…
Doesn’t that rug just tie everything together perfectly…. from the framed letters to the mobile…. I just love it! This is a JoJo Designs rug that measures 30 inches by 36 inches making it the perfect size to lay in front of Willow’s crib. It is made of hand tufted 100% cotton yarn and is oh so soft plus underneath you will find non skid backing making it perfect for on wood or tile floors as well.
The one and only thing that doesn’t make me jump for joy is that it is recommended to spot clean only… and I can just imagine little Willow crawling over to her super soft rug and then having a massive diaper blow out. And so I am hoping that it will hold up well washing on the most delicate cycle in the washing machine and laying flat to dry. Fingers crossed!
If you need any sort of accent piece to pull together an amazing nursery for your little one I highly suggest checking out Beyond Bedding because chances are they will have what you are looking for. Oh and guess what? You can enter below for your chance to win 1 of 10 kids bedding sets!

I love love love that rug!! I think it goes perfect with Willow’s room! But yes – it would definitely be a huge plus if it was machine washable!
That rug really does make a difference! I’ve been wanting a rug in front of Gracie’s bed and Jack’s crib, I need to check Beyond Bedding out to see what they have that will match.
It looks great! And I think the rug does kind of bring it all together. I had no clue Beyond Bedding sold rugs either.
Oh, and you aren’t alone… I actually have a “hand wash” setting on my washer. So you know, I think that totally counts, right? LOL Spot cleaning isn’t for me. I pretty much put everything in my washing machine and when it comes to dishes unless it can go in the dishwasher I don’t own it. (Or I do own it and put it in there anyway.)
VERY cute rug!! Love it!
