Finishing Our Bedroom With Interior Addict

Willow’s nursery is completely done… as is Alleigh and Kaelyn’s bedroom upstairs.  However, the walls in Dustin and my room are still pink from when it used to be Alleigh’s room.  I have many plans in my head for this room, but I really need to get motivated and get it done before Willow makes her arrival in a few weeks.  Well obviously what I mean is I need to get Dustin motivated to paint that room and then I can add the finishing touches.  I’m really looking to go with a more contemporary design this time around and found a great website to help me with doing just that.

At Interior Addict they don’t see furniture as just a tool: a functional object to sit on, eat at or sleep in.  Instead their addicts… Interior Addicts. Not only are they just passionate about furniture design from the likes of Arne Jacobsen, Joseph Hoffman, Le Corbusier and Charles Eames… their absolutely, positively and utterly addicted to it.  And if you share that addiction for fine furniture then Interior Addict is the place for you. They sell only the finest reproduction pieces inspired by their favorite classic designers by seeking out the best colors, designs, shapes and trends for their clients.  The Interior Addict sales team is passionate about furniture and their aim is to make sure that every client is completely satisfied; from helpful pre-sales advice, to the delivery and care of the designs we sell.  And gosh they have so many things that would be just perfect for spicing up our new bedroom.

I loved browsing through all the lighting options from contemporary floor lamps to designer wall lighting.  And I think these Eclipse Wall Lamps would look perfect hanging on both sides of our bed…. except I would go with white.  I am planning our walls to be a light tan or maybe even a grayish color and I think the white would just make them POP! lamp

I also spent some time checking out all the great walnut furniture that Interior Addict offers.  I love the deep warm feeling that walnut seems to exude.  And the Lucce 2 Drawer Bedside Cabinet would look perfect beside our bed.  I love that it comes fully assembled because this pregnant momma doesn’t need one more thing to put together, hehe.  Not to mention the two soft close drawers with flush handles.  With Willow sleeping in our room for a good six to twelve months I don’t want to wake her up just to get a pair of socks and I have noticed that my older girls are much less likely to open drawers if they don’t actually see gleaming shiny drawer pulls.  And so this would just be perfect… don’t ya think so too?

Now that I have spent some time really browsing around for items that would make our bedroom feel like a whole new space I suppose it’s time to head on over to our local paint store and get Dustin some paint!  I bet he will be SO excited, hehe…. I’ll let ya know how it goes.

  1. Luke and I really need to give our room a makeover, too! Our walls aren’t pink, but they’re just plain ole white – very boring! And the carpet.. I don’t even want to talk about it! Now you’ve really got me wanting to re-do it, haha!

Love the walnut furniture especially! I think master bedrooms are almost always the ones to suffer from lack of design – I know that’s the case for us – we put our room off to deal with others!

I agree walnut furniture just gives this warm and rich feeling! I definitely am partial to darker finishes!

  4. Our entire house needs a makeover! LOL! We actually finally got bedroom furniture for our room (married 10 years and never had any), but I’d like to paint the walls. There’s just so much to do around here we are taking it one step at a time… Crazy how much everything can cost!
Love the walnut dresser/drawers you have there!

  5. I really like it when people come together and share
thoughts. Great blog, keep it up!
