Geared For Imagination: The Deglingos Review & Giveaway

GFILogoML

A few weeks ago I shared an awesome company I stumbled upon – Geared for Imagination which is an Ohio based creator and distributor of high quality toys.  In fact they are located about a half hour from me which I thought was pretty awesome!  Geared for Imagination was founded in 2009 by two dads – Ryan Hamilton (3 daughters, 1 son) and Bret Faber (1 daughter, 1 son) – who have combined their many years in the toy business and their experience as father’s to bring only the best toys to their customers.  Ryan and Bret have selected an amazing selection of toys to carry in their retail outlets throughout the United States and I was thrilled to receive a few toys from another one of these unique collections –

Wondering what a Deglingos is?

Deglingos (deh-GLING-goes): common noun.  Animalos molto funnios and muy crazios.  A uniques species of contagiously quirky animals, the Deglingos speak their own language which consists of finishing many words with ‘os’.  These adorable little animals are made in France with over fifty different types of fabrics and strings of various colors to create such an amazing collection.  Plus all Deglingos products have been manufactured with the highest quality and finishing in mind.  They have been tested in one of the most recognized laboratories in the world and comply with EN71 European regulations which guarantee a high level of safety and security.

There are quite a few different series of Deglingos including Original, Simply, Baby, Discovery, Kicks, Ducky, Mini, Bags, and Dishes.  Willow received both an Original and Baby Deglingos to enjoy when she makes her arrival.

As you can see she received Bogos the Monkey in both the Original and Baby version.  And this is what Bogos has to say “So handsome I am! My Hawaiianos shirt and juicios lips make me irresistable.”  Too cute, hehe.

The Original Deglingos are roughly 10 inches tall and are safe for children of all ages. I have caught Alleigh and Kaelyn playing with him a few times, ya know, just checking him out for their lil sister on the way.  As I mentioned before the Deglingos are made from over fifty different fabrics and strings which Bogos the Monkey boasts many of… I absolutely love his corduroy face and body combined with the smoother fabrics on his stomach, arms, and legs.  All of these fabrics combined will definitely make for a tactile and visual feast when little Willow arrives.

And the Baby Bogos the Monkey is just as adorable.  All of the Baby Deglingos have a super soft corduroy body which is simply irresistible to little ones and are roughly 10.5” tall.  They are safe from birth up and are machine washable – yay!!  I am sure Willow will be dragging her Baby Bogos everywhere, but I do wish he had a little loop to attach a ring to so that I wouldn’t have to worry about him being tossed out of the car seat, stroller, shopping cart, etc.  Other wise I absolutely love him!

Oh and there are so many different Deglingos characters to choose from!  Some of my favorites include Pikos the Hedgehog, Chikos the Hen, and Ogalos the Horse.  You will definitely have to check out the Geared for Imagination website for all the available characters – I am sure you will find one that either you or your little one will absolutely love as well.  And guess what!  One lucky reader here at Happenings of the Harper Household will win their choice of Baby Deglingos.  Enter using the Rafflecopter form below.
