Throughout Alleigh’s pregnancy I stuffed pillows all around my growing belly and never felt truly comfortable.  Then when I got pregnant with Kaelyn I decided to get an actual maternity body pillow, but it still only helped one side and left my back completely unsupported so I still had to use other pillows.  Now with my third pregnancy I finally learned that to be properly supported during pregnancy I would need a pillow that completely surrounds my body and I found that pillow at Moonlight Slumber!

That pillow is the Comfort-U Maternity Pillow and is absolutely amazing because not only will it support you through pregnancy, but since it is designed in three parts it is useful in other ways as well.  Inside the removable and washable pillow case you will find two bolsters and one curved pillow.  When all of these pillows are placed inside the Comfort-U pillow case they are a pregnant woman’s dream come true.  I never slept so peacefully while pregnant until this pillow came into my life.  I love that no matter which way I turn the Comfort-U Maternity Pillow supports my legs, stomach, back, head….. everything!  I don’t have one single complaint about this pillow… now my hubby on the other hand, hehe.

Please excuse my wrinkly sheets and pink walls…. this used to be Alleigh’s room until she and Kaelyn moved in together upstairs and well we just haven’t gotten around to painting it yet.  Now when I am all snug in this pillow with it tucked around my back and between my legs I believe it only takes up half our queen size bed – my half – but the hubby claims I am always taking up his space.  And he also jokingly calls it my “fortress of solitude” and “the great wall of China”…. but that doesn’t really bother me because if momma don’t sleep good then momma ain’t gonna be a happy pregnant woman!

Now you might think having this pillow wrapped completely around you that it would be too hot, but actually it’s quite the opposite – I always feel nice and cool.  Even Alleigh loves sleeping in this pillow.  In fact every day she naps in our bed and has to have my pillow.  The other day I actually had the pillowcase in the wash and she was not happy about it, so I had to just lay the pillows around her, hehe.  Plus if I can bring myself to take the pillow apart once Willow arrives the curved part will be perfect for breastfeeding and the bolsters will be perfect to keep Kaelyn from rolling out of her toddler bed at night.  She doesn’t do it very often anymore, but it would be nice if she never did it.  Though I kinda want to keep my “fortress of solitude” to myself… it’s just too stinkin comfy to part with!
