pregnancy journalWelcome to the “My Pregnancy Journal” meme, so if you are a pregger blogging mama then you will definitely wanna link up.

There are only three super simple rules that must be followed.

1.)  Grab the button from my right side bar and place in your post.
2.)  Copy & paste the questions you feel comfortable answering.
3.)  Link up with your pregnancy journal entry for this week at the bottom of my post – if you link to your blog’s home page unfortunately I will delete it from the list.

And this week Willow is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an IMG_2945crenshaw melonounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (about the size of a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She’s shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. She will swallow both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, that will form the contents of her first bowel movement.  At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term – yay! (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks).  And according to a recent ultrasound she’s in a head-down position.  This is what she looks like this week…

About me & Willow Jean this week….

Symptoms:  Willow sure loves my ribs…. always has her feet up in there and gosh does it hurt.  My calves have really started aching any time I walk or stand still for too long.  I would much prefer to be sitting up with my legs propped up.  Oh and when I’m up for too long my ankles swell up.  Yup, the cankles have arrived and they need to go back to wherever they came from!

Weight Gain: +3 pounds, putting me at 171 pounds total…. I started at 161, so a total of 10 pounds up.  Looks like I gained almost all that weight back from that lil flu bug Dustin and I had last week.

Cravings:  I was grocery shopping the other day and saw a huge box of Rice Krispie Treats…. ya, I totally bought them and have been devouring them.

Food Aversions:  I’m not really having any aversions…. but sometimes I do have to force myself to eat something because I haven’t ate in a while, but yet I’m not hungry.  I think it’s just the lack of space in there.

What made me cry this week:  I don’t think I cried this week…. had a few moments that tears came to my eyes because of really really low pain in my pubic bone, but that just means the end is near… which is really bitter sweet.

Medical Stuff:  Well I was supposed to have an OB appointment on Monday, but I kinda forgot about it because we were on our way home from Cedar Point.  And so it has been rescheduled for Friday.  But all seems good.

Thoughts from Alleigh & Kaelyn:  Their both getting very excited.  Any time they give me a hug or kiss they also have to give Willow one too.  Kaelyn is still convinced she is directly in my belly button so she must kiss that hideous thing, hehe.  Tomorrow they are attending a class called “Baby and Me” which is supposed to help prepare them for the delivery.  I am sure they will have lots to say, hehe.

Something I am excited about: Meeting this lil being that has been beating the crap outta me, hehe.  Today I called and preregistered at the hospital for delivery and I called the pediatrician and had her file made.  Those things really show how close we are getting…. so crazy!
