Never Wordless Wednesday: Happy 4th of July!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

Since the 4th fell in the middle of the week we did our celebrating this past weekend.  The girls both had a blast visiting our local Italian American Festival – chowing down on pizza and going on all the rides.  It was a super hot day and I managed to walk around with the girls and Dustin for their first round of rides, but for the second round I took a seat under a shady tree.

That evening Alleigh spent the night at Nana and Pap’s house.  But there were fireworks going on so Dustin, Kaelyn, and I headed out.  We found a great spot…. literally like three hundred or so feet from where the fireworks were being set off and spread out our blanket.  Kaelyn loved spending time with just momma and daddy rolling around in the grass waiting for the show to start.  And when it did she just kicked back on Dustin and loved seeing all the fireworks directly above our heads.

And when I say directly above our heads I totally mean it…. in fact ash was falling all around us.  But we were safe – no worries!

I even shot a video of the last few minutes including the finale!
