38 WEEKS PREGNANT

This week Willow has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she’s over 19 1/2 inches long – about the size of a small pumpkin.  She has a firm grasp, which I’ll soon be able to test when holding her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.  And this is what she looks like this week…

About me & Willow Jean this week….

Symptoms:  My sinus infection is pretty much gone…. it was still lingering but when I went to the chiropractor this week he did some acupuncture and I could actually breath again!  On the pregnancy front I am still dealing with really bad heart burn and I think this lil girl is gonna be long because I have pain super high in my ribs and really really low as well.  I also have been way emotional lately.  I can’t control it for anything and I’m sure Dustin is rather over it as well.  Oh and today I lost my mucus plug…. so maybe, just maybe the day will be soon!

Weight Gain: +1 pounds, putting me at 172 pounds total…. I started at 161, so a total of 11 pounds up.

Cravings:  I just want my Sonic or DQ ice all the time.

Food Aversions:  Not really having any aversions… just not too hungry.

What made me cry this week:  I don’t believe I actually cried this week…. just really touchy about everything and definitely ready to meet this lil girl.

Medical Stuff:  Everything is looking great.  Measuring right on and my Group B Strep came back negative.  So now it’s just a waiting game.

Thoughts from Alleigh & Kaelyn:  Kaelyn loves to talk to the baby…. directly through my belly button – kinda like it’s her little microphone to the baby, hehe.  Today I told her to tell Willow to come out…. and so she has been saying “Come out Willow Jeanie!!!!!” hehe.  Then we were at my parents and she was telling her to come out again and Alleigh says “Well if she is gonna come out now we are gonna need to get some gloves on our hands!”  I about peed my pants.

Something I am excited about:  Obviously to meet this lil girl….. the time should be soon.  At this point I was no longer pregnant with Alleigh and Kaelyn so I am beginning to grow impatient.  I know that a pregnancy is technically 40 weeks long and so I am trying to be patient…. but when your previous two pregnancies ended a lil early, well then ya want the same to happen again.
