So I have been randomly mentioning how I have been wanting to redecorate Dustin and my bedroom and preferably before Willow makes her arrival into the world.  It was pink and brown when it was Alleigh’s bedroom and hadn’t been changed since….  and since I’m no longer a five year old girl the pink just wasn’t gonna work for me anymore, hehe.  And so a before…

And it is almost done!  Last weekend I decided I was going to go buy a gallon of paint so that Dustin could paint the room and well he said I could get any color….. so I picked Wildflower Honey which happens to be a very pretty yellow.  Of course he wasn’t a fan, but oh well.  I had also been gathering different owl home décor from thrift stores for the past few months and transformed them with primer, paint, and had Dustin hang those too.  Oh and new bedding as well!  Check it out…. yellow & gray.  Love it.

I found two of these lil owls at a thrift store for $1.00!  My original picture didn’t turn out…. they were originally dark black with red sequin eyes, but very similar to this before picture.

And then I found this owl wall hanging for 50 cents!

This cute wall sconce was 89 cents!

And finally an adorable owl statue…. for $1.00!

Dustin also spray painted a few frames for me so they would match the gray in the new bedding.  And now all we are waiting for is the gray curtains and white blinds which are supposed to be delivered Friday…. in the mean time.

That mirror had a gold edge and was in my parents basement forever…. a few years ago I took it and painted it to match Alleigh’s room, but it looks great in ours now, hehe.  Oh and those bags – ready for the hospital!

Our marriage license… we always had it hanging in our bedroom until we moved into the pink room without redecorating…. feels good to have it back up and displayed.  Can’t believe it’s been over five years now!

So this totally doesn’t look straight from the angle I took the picture at…. but that is Kaelyn when she was about three days old!

Ok… and so I admit that I supposedly got the tv for the bedroom to please the hubby, buy I think I have been using it way more with my pregnancy insomnia right now.  Not to mention how much I will be up nursing in the coming months.  But shhhhh, it was for him!!

And so that is our bedroom…. I really like how it was turned out and am so excited for the curtains and blinds to get here so that it will be complete.  Whatcha think?  Are you a fan of the yellow or are you Team Dustin?  Don’t worry ya won’t offend me, hehe.
