So I’m a bit shocked that we are actually still “Waiting for Willow”…. but she must be comfy and wanting to bake a bit longer, hehe. And so while we wait here is another awesome product that I am ridiculously excited to use when she decides to make her arrival into the world…. please be soon, hehe.
Before I tell ya about the product let’s talk a bit about the company. Stokke is a Norwegian company and was established in 1932. To this day they are still a family owned company who’s vision is “in the best interest of the child,” which is the cornerstone of their product innovation, development, and production. Each Stokke product is developed to stimulate the child’s ongoing development through their ability to allow the bond between parent and child to grow through strong visual contact and interaction. They believe in creating unique, functional and long‐lasting products, attractively designed with a wide variety of accessories to provide, support, and promote wellbeing for both parent and child.
From strollers to carriers to highchairs to nursery items Stokke truly has it all and I was stoked to receive the Stokke Bounce n Sleep to try out. Kaelyn has been very excited to get ready for her new baby sister as you can see.
We began by opening up the Bouncer which was very simple because it came fully assembled – except for the toy hanger which simply slides into the slots on either side of the bouncer and allows you to clip any light weight toy that intrigues your little one to it instead of being confined to the toys that typically come attached to other bouncers.

With two super active little girls in our home this time around when bringing a newborn home there are quite a few features that really stand out to me with the Stokke Bouncer. One of those is the sturdy base that keeps the bouncer securely on the f![]()
loor making tipping over highly unlikely. I am also a big fan of the five point safety harness as every other bouncer we have ever used only featured a three point harness. Plus the bouncer can be used in either the fully reclined position or seated. There is a little latch that must be undone in the back to put the bouncer in the seated position and for added safety there are two grips that must be activated at the same time to recline the bouncer. It also has a super comfy built in mattress which makes it ideal when being placed in the Daybed for resting or just reclined. The two carrying handles also make the bouncer very easy to transport around the house with baby securely strapped inside. ![]()
And as awesome as the Stokke Bouncer is – the Daybed is just as amazing. Now it did take a bit of assembly, but with the easy to follow instructions that was no problem at all. And so here are the pieces straight out of the box.

As you can see the frame of the Daybed is made of steel and it require no tools to assemble – the pieces simply slide together. The outer fabric then completely wraps around the frame and is attached by zipper/Veclro. It can be easily removed for washing which is great since this is a light colored material and all parents know what happens with light colors and little ones.

The inside of the Daybed is rather deep to keep little hands away from baby and the material on the inside is made from a mesh that allows for great airflow. The mattress is very comfortable for baby and also comes with an additional wedge to elevate babies head which is a great added feature for little ones suffering from reflux.

I absolutely love how the base is shaped for rocking. Since the Daybed has a nice slim design it fits perfectly on my side of the bed so Willow can sleep right beside me and if she is just startled instead of needing to nurse or be changed I can simply give her a little rock to get her back to sleep.
And as I mentioned before the Bouncer and Daybed work together to make the Stokke Bounce n Sleep. I love products that work together to make life easier for mom (and dad too). And so if your little one drifts to sleep while playing in the Bouncer you can simply recline it and then using the carrying handles move them to the Daybed where they can snooze without being disturbed.

I adore how seamlessly the Stokke Bounce n Sleep fits in with our home décor and doesn’t scream out BABY with cartoon like characters or crazy bright vibrant colors. It almost seems like it was meant to be there and I just love that. There are so many other Stokke products that I would love to add to our baby gear collection – especially the Stokke Xplory Stroller which literally brings baby right up to moms level instead of being down in another world feeling like they are being aimlessly pushed around. You should definitely take a moment to check out all the awesome Stokke products!

awesome!
Stokke is one of those companies that I did not explore with my first baby, but I definitely plan to check out for #2! The products look like they are not only useful and well made, but really stylish and attractive, too. I hadn’t seen this one before, and I will need something for next to the bed. Thanks for sharing!
I love when products have multiple uses! Stokke is one of my favorite companies, too. I definitely want one of these when we have our next baby! Thanks for the informative post!
