Kaelyn absolutely loves the television show Peppa Pig. Never heard of her? Well then you must be living under a muddy puddle, hehe! Peppa lives in the United Kingdom with Mommy Pig, Daddy Pig, and her brother George who all speak in charming British accents. The Peppa Pig show takes little munchkins on many adventures with Peppa, her family, and friends then always ends with loud snorts of laughter that make them all fall down – Kaelyn especially loves this part!
And so when I heard that Peppa Pig toys, books, and DVD’s were going to be available at Toys “R” Us I knew that Kaelyn was going to be one happy kiddo. I can’t even explain how excited she was to try out a whole selection of Peppa Pig products. We received a Peppa’s Schoolhouse play set, Sip ‘n Oink Tea Set, Peppa & Danny Dog play set, Peppa & Friends Plush which are all made by Fisher-Price as well as the Peppa Pig and the Lost Christmas List book and Muddy Puddles and other stories DVD.
Every time we drop Alleigh off at pre-kindergarten Kaelyn gets upset because she wants to go to school too. But now she can pretend to go to school with Peppa Pig and Madam Gazelle when she plays with the Peppa’s Schoolhouse play set as well as the Peppa & Danny Dog play set. She absolutely loves opening the school house door and ringing the yellow bell while shouting “Time for school!” And is particularly fond of the Peek ‘n Surprise pieces which include an easel that flips between an art project and math problem plus a desk that flips between playtime and snack time.
Every little girl loves a tea party – Kaelyn included – and a Peppa themed tea party is even more fun! The Sip ‘n Oink Tea Set includes a tea pot shaped like Peppa’s house, Peppa shaped creamer, sugar bowl, two cups, saucers, and spoons. And an extra surprise that had Kaelyn in a giggling fit. When you take a sip of tea the cup’s bottom looks just like Peppa’s snout!
And what better to watch on television while playing with Peppa toys but a Peppa Pig DVD? Whenever I turn to Nick Jr. Kaelyn always asks if Peppa Pig is on and before I had to explain that Peppa wasn’t on constantly, but now Kaelyn has 60 minutes of “Peppasodes” on the DVD Muddy Puddles and Other Stories to keep her (and momma) happy. This 60 minutes of Peppa Pig bliss includes Kaelyn’s all time favorite “Muddy Puddles” as well as 9 more hilarious snort filled “Peppasodes”.
Both of my girls are huge fans of books. They love having books read to them as well as “reading” them to
themselves and each other. Of course they develop favorites and soon momma grows tired of reading the same book over and over again. And so I was very excited to add a new book to our little library – Peppa Pig and the Lost Christmas List – which features Peppa saving Christmas Day. Kaelyn loved looking at all the bright and colorful images of Peppa, her family, and friends and there were quite a few funny parts as well. Like when Daddy Pig decided to carry the Christmas tree all the way home!
Not only are the Peppa Pig toys, books, and DVD’s loads of fun but so is the Peppa Pig website where your little one can meet the characters, play games, watch “Peppasodes” and more. Plus be sure to like the Peppa Pig facebook page to keep up to date on everything Peppa! And with Christmas only a few short months away be sure to remember that these new Peppa Pig products are available only at Toys “R” Us.
