We’re a family that is on the go a lot and so I am always looking for toys and games that are easy to transport to take with us on our outings. And so I was very excited when I found an awesome new toy by Tollytots and Safety First that would be perfect for our on the go lifestyle.
These awesome toys are part of the Cubikals Play System. Kaelyn received the Cubikals Carry Case – Happy Home as well as another set of Cubikals Stack n Play Blocks to try out. Let’s just start out by saying that Cubikals are way cooler than your typical wood building block. Each set of blocks is themed and as you can see Kaelyn’s included four character blocks (mom, dad, baby, pet puppy), one accessory block (car), and one spinner block (fish bowl / flower pot / toothbrush). The triangle shaped spinner can be spun super fast which Kaelyn really likes, but the characters can also be turned as well so that they can face different directions. Each Cubikal is open on three sides and the solid three sides each have something different on them – a sculpted Safety 1st logo (back), sculpted texture (bottom), paper label with colorful coordinating graphic (top). For example the baby character block has a rattle graphic on the top of the block. Plus there are lots of fun ways to play with the Cubikals blocks. They encourage role play, stacking, sorting, as well as recognition of letters, numbers, shapes, and animals. Kaelyn is a fan of stacking towers and then knocking them down.
I absolutely love how convenient the Carry Case – Happy Home (also available in Fire House Fun) is for storing and playing with the Cubikals blocks. It is designed to hold twelve Cubikals total and includes three Cubikals (one character, one accessory, and one spinner). The clear door snaps shut so the Cubikals stay put when little ones are carrying it around by the convenient handle. And when folded down Kaelyn enjoys moving the Cubikals to their different “rooms” which include a garage, kitchen, bathroom, staircase, dining room, living room, bedroom, and nursery. The carrying case also came with a colorful street scene playmat that can be stored in the door, but it is made of thin paper which didn’t last too long with my rough n tough two year old. That is really the only thing I could find that could be improved – laminating it would be ideal. Other than that Kaelyn thoroughly enjoys playing with her Cubikals blocks and carrying case. I find her taking it all over the house as well as when we’re on the go.
There are quite a few other products in the Cubikals Play System including different vehicles and play sets. Plus any of the Cubikals blocks will work in any of the Cubikals Play System toys! I especially love that there are no small pieces which means when Willow gets bigger this is a toy she will also be able to share in the fun with! And guess what? One lucky Happenings of the Harper Household reader is going to win their very own Cubikals Carrying Case and set of blocks. You can enter on the Rafflecopter form below.
But before you enter this fun giveaway I wanted to share what Tollytots is doing to support Operation Smile. They will be hosting their first-ever “Playdate in the City” on September 29th 2012 for media, bloggers and city influencers at 620 Loft & Garden in New York City. The event will debut Tollytots’ latest toys so tots and parents can not only play and mingle, but forever change the life of a child through Operation Smile. For every family that attends this awesome event Tollytots will be donating one smile (cleft lip surgery) up to 10k! This really warms my heart because every child deserves to have a beautiful smile. Thank you Tollytots!
My kids always loved small toys they could carry around. My grandson would love this.
I like that the toys can be stored inside and packed around.
I love that the pieces are not super small but small enough for little hands. bekki1820cb at gmail dot com
That is so cute! It’s hard to find good toys for toddler girls. My daughter would love this.
I have more than enough small toys with 3 kids under four. I like that everything goes into a carrying case. My 2 yr old likes to put his toys into his brothers old backpack and carry them around. He would love this toy.
I love how cute it is!
I love how compact it is and how easy it is for the kids to carry. I also love that there are no small pieces to choke on!
I like it best because there are no small pieces!!!! Awesome!
I like that it is its own carrying case!
I love that you can store, after you’re done playing.

I love that they come with storage. My little one is in love with blocks right now.
They look to be the perfect sized pieces for my one year old. I also like the storage.

I think I like the fact that they are blocks…but that they arent your typical blocks
I love that they snap in so they won’t fall out!
I love that there aren’t little pieces that can easily get lost or pose as a choking hazard
I like the carrying case and the fact that there is no little pieces 🙂
