vtechTablets are definitely on every tech savvy adults wish list – mine included…. though I don’t have one yet.  My four year old daughter on the other hand does have one!  It’s pretty bad when you’re jealous of your four year olds electronics, hehe.  Alleigh looks like a little grown up toting her VTech InnoTab 2 Learning App Tablet around – so cute.

innotab2There are so many activities and awesome features on the InnoTab 2 that I have never once heard Alleigh utter the word “bored” when playing with it and she really likes how it “knows” her since you are able to personalize the wallpaper, username, avatar, voice greeting, and typed greeting.    And I love that it is very easy for her to navigate so she doesn’t get frustrated by having to ask an adult for help.  The large 5” color touch screen is a great size, but I think Alleigh’s favorite feature is the rotating camera so she can easily take photos and videos of herself and others…. but mainly herself, hehe.  Plus there is also a tilt sensor, microphone, onscreen keypad, and stylus.  The brightness of the screen can be adjusted as well as the volume which is a feature I love.

So the InnoTab 2 is chock full of great features, but what does it do?  Glad ya asked.  With the InnoTab 2 your munchkin will be able to read books, play games, create art, take pictures or video, write notes, and listen to music.  Plus there is also a built in calculator, clock, calendar, and friend list.  By connecting the InnoTab 2 to the Learning Lodge Navigator there are hundreds of apps including music, books, and games that can be loaded to the tablet – plus they are searchable by age so it is easy to find appropriate apps for your child quickly.  And no worries about running out of memory because the InnoTab 2 comes with 2GB of onboard memory, but there is also an expandable SD slot so you can add up to 32GB of memory!

Alleigh absolutely loves the e-reader since she is able to read books all by herself.  She also really enjoys the art studio because she can practice writing her letters – check out her A!

And I absolutely love that the InnoTab 2 is easily portable.  I highly recommend getting the carrying case as well to protect it when not in use and so that it can be easily carried around without worrying about drops.  Alleigh likes to play with hers on the way to pre-kindergarten in the mornings.  It’s also awesome for places that she needs to be patient and quiet… like doctors waiting rooms.  And as I mentioned before since you can load apps by age appropriateness it allows the InnoTab 2 to grow with your child.  In fact there are apps for up to nine years old!  This is definitely a product that your child will thoroughly enjoy and get many years of use out of making the $79.99 price seem super reasonable.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for VTech. I received product samples to facilitate my review.

  1. I think Kynlee will LOVE this when she is a little older. She already knows how to work an iPad, so maybe she could figure this one out, too? Will definitely check into it.

I love this! Perfect for a toddler – they can now have their own tablet. And I like how it has apps and a calendar, and such, just like a phone would.

Thanks for this review because we’re thinking of getting Mackenzie one of these for Christmas (she’ll be 3 in Jan). She’s already a pro on my iPhone so I’d love for her to have something techie of her own so I can reclaim my phone lol.

  4. of course like your web site however you need to check the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very bothersome to tell the reality then again I will definitely come again again.

Very cool! I tried the Vtech products before & didn’t like them as much as the LeapFrog devices. I’ve since shied away from some of those & went with a Meep! tablet for our 3rd. 100’s of apps, & full parental control. He’s only 2 & works it like a champ. He just doesn’t have patience for page loads. LOL!
    Nice review!!
