It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for the weekly Willow update!  I enjoyed writing my pregnancy journal and sharing my journey with everyone so much that I have decided to continue by writing about Willow’s first year.  And so each week I will be sharing how my baby girl is growing and changing plus lots of pictures!

PICTURES FROM WILLOW’S 5th WEEK

WHAT WILLOW’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…

Sleeping:  Over the past week Willow’s night time sleep routine has changed a bit.  She now sleeps in her Rock n Play Sleeper til about 3am.  She then wakes up to nurse and we do the side lying position and both fall back asleep together.  Around 6am she begins to squirm and we flip to the other side, she nurses, and we fall asleep again.  She sleeps then until Alleigh and Kaelyn come bounding into the bedroom around 8am…. usually longer as long as I can keep them away from her, hehe.

Eating:  My little nursing champ!  The nursing spree slowed down and we areback to nursing about every three to four hours.  And boy is she a noisy eater… you can hear her gulp away.  We also had Willow’s one month well check up this week and she has packed on 1 pounds 6 ounces putting her at 9 pounds 15 ounces.  My healthy lil chunk.

Diapers:  Still doing lots of covers and prefolds.  When out and about I tend to use a GroVia shell with prefold like Willow wore to her one month check up.  I also discovered the our Doopsy one size diapers fit her perfectly on the smallest setting and so they have become our night time go to diaper because they are super absorbent.

Places She Went:  Baby girl has been busy this week.  Our family headed to Clendening Lake and spent the night in a cabin with my sister-in-law, her husband, two children, my brother-in-law, his fiance, and two dogs.  And she went on her first boat ride!  Willow also went with mama to bowling league which is every Monday evening.  She had her one month check-up so she got to meet Dr. Tom.  And she ran lots of errands with mama.  Busy busy.

Other Random Stuff:  Willow is officially out of her newborn clothes and is now wearing 0-3 months.  She’s spending a lot more time awake during the day and has begun giving little smiles.  And she now likes her sway seat and had a cry-free bath, woohoo!
