It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for the weekly Willow update!  I enjoyed writing my pregnancy journal and sharing my journey with everyone so much that I have decided to continue by writing about Willow’s first year.  And so each week I will be sharing how my baby girl is growing and changing plus lots of pictures!

PICTURES FROM WILLOW’S 6th WEEK

WHAT WILLOW’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…

Sleeping:  Lots more awake time now!  I’d say Willow is sleeping roughly 18 hours a day or so now.  Still sleeping in her Rock n Play Sleeper at night right beside our bed and typically waking twice to eat.  She has been spending a little time in her crib, but only when she is awake to check out her fun mobile.

Eating:  My little chunk-a-munk is still nursing like a pro and filling her diaper to prove it, hehe.  In fact she is filling her diaper while I hold her, watch the OSU game, and type this.  Multi-tasking… it’s a mom thing.

Diapers:  This week I bought a bag of Pampers size 1 diapers for our trip to Cedar Point.  I didn’t want to have to lug along a bunch of cloth diapers because everyone knows how many diapers a newborn goes through.  Anyhow… those diapers irked me!  We haven’t had any leaking or blow out issues for quite some time with our wonderful cloth diapers, but the first disposable diaper I put on Willow she leaked out of – I was like “Come on?? Really???”  Luckily that only happened twice, but still it was frustrating.

Places She Went:  Willow went with us to Cedar Point for HalloWeekends… of course she slept the majority of the time which was good so I could set her beside monsters to take her picture, hehe.  She also had to go visit Dr. Tom because she was sounding a little congested.  Turns out she had her first official cold thanks to her big sisters sharing their germs.  She’s almost completely back to normal now though… and luckily it wasn’t a terrible cold.  Just a little snot – no fever or coughs.  She also visited Uncle Andrew and Lea’s house when we went over for dinner.  And today we went on a little hike at the Gorge Metro Park in Cuyahoga Falls.  I’m telling you this baby gets around!

Other Random Stuff:  Kaelyn has been giving Willow hugs and saying “Willow you my best friend!” – totally melts my heart.  And once Willow gave a big gummy grin back at her when she said it.  Sweetest thing ever.
