Get Ready for Halloween 2012 with Wholesale Costume Club!

Wholesale Costume ClubHalloween is creeping up on us mighty fast… do you have your kiddos or even your own costumes ready to go?  I’ve said it many times, but I’ll say it again – I really really really don’t like shopping at actual brick and mortar stores.  When you have three little ones to bring along with you a melt down is sure to happen and it might not be from one of the kids.  Don’t judge, I’m just being honest, hehe!  This is why I prefer shopping online and I have found one of the best websites to check out for Halloween costumes is Wholesale Costume Club.  They definitely have something for everyone from infants to adults and even pets.  I had my heart set on Alleigh, Kaelyn, and Willow all being little Indians.  The Infant Indian Papoose Bunting New 2012 Costume was just too cute for words, but Alleigh and Kaelyn have reached an age where they should get to pick their own costumes and let’s just say the Indian idea was not happening.  And so I spent some time browsing around the Wholesale Costume Club website with them searching for the perfect costumes.  They finally settled on being their favorite animals from the zoo.

Alleigh absolutely adores flamingoes – I’m guessing their beautiful pink color has something to do with it because it surely isn’t their smell (have you ever visited them at the zoo???) – luckily the little flamingo running around my IMG_4945house takes daily baths, hehe.  When purchasing the Flamingo Ride Costume for Child you will only receive the actual flamingo which the child steps into and is held up by adjustable pink suspenders making it a one size fits most costume (Alleigh wears a size 4T).  Since the wearer steps inside the flamingo it gives the funny illusion that the child is actually riding the flamingo.  The head of the bird has a small loop attached made of the same material as the suspenders which the wearer is meant to hold on to to keep the head upright, but since Alleigh’s hands will be busy with a candy bag I safety pinned the loop to a shoulder strap which worked out great.  I absolutely loved the soft “feathery” part of the flamingo and just had to add something on top of Alleigh’s head to fIMG_4946inish off the costume.  I purchased her headband on Etsy, but I’m sure you could make your own version as well.  And since we wanted the flamingo to stand out we chose a simple solid gray legging and long sleeve shirt to wear underneath.  The best part about this costume is since it is so easy to put on and take off I can see it becoming one of the girls favorite dress up toys.  Plus since the suspenders are adjustable they can play dress up for years to come.

KIMG_4941aelyn loves giraffes…. might have to do with her Sophie – you do know who Sophie is, right?  So when I found the Toddler Plush Giraffe Costume which fits 2T-4T I knew it was meant to be for Kaelyn (she wears 3T).  The word plush in the title truly doesn’t do this adorable giraffe justice.  It is so cuddly and soft I just wanna grab on to Kaelyn and never let her go, hehe.  It is a high quality costume that I honestly would expect to cost much more than it does.  I love how life like the head piece looks, but more importantly that there is a full face opening making it safe and easy for Kaelyn to see where she going while trick-or-treating.  The head piece is also separate from the giraffe print jumpsuit so if she gets to hot we can simply take it off.  Another feature of this costume I love is that the feet are completely covered so there are no need for special shoes plus it gives off that nice finished look.  The comfort mitts are the same way – they can completely cover the hands or your little munchkin can slip their hands out the convenient hidden openings so they have full use of them for collecting all that candy or pull them in if they get chilly.  This is the cutest giraffe Halloween costume I have ever seen!

And these adorable costumes are only two of the costumes you can find at Wholesale Costume Club.  So go spend some time browsing around because I am sure you will find the perfect costume for you or your little one to wear this Halloween.  Oh and I also LOVE the flat rate shipping no matter how big your order – $5.99 standard US ground or $7.99 expedited US ground.  Plus when you check out you get to choose if you pay the non-member or member price for your costumes.  Membership is only $5 a year and does not auto renew so no worries about getting charged again later.  If you will be ordering two or more costumes this will pay for itself and save you lots of money.
