I absolutely love everything about Willow’s infant car seat – Chicco KeyFit 30 – except the umbrella shade.  It’s simply not big enough to block the wind and rain from reaching her and I needed to find a solution to that problem.  I found that solution at Carseat Canopy – We’ve Got Your Baby Covered.

What originally brought me to Carseat Canopy was my need for something to block the weather from my sweet Willow and I found that with their wide selection of canopies.  Basically this is a blanket that perfectly fits over an infant car seat and attaches to the handle with straps so that it won’t fall off.  Each canopy has a gorgeous 100% cotton print fabric on the outside and super soft 100% polyester minky interior – I chose the Knott print.  And I absolutely love that they are the perfect weight for year round use… not too hot for the summer and not too light for the winter…. yes, even in Ohio!  Plus since the straps have Velcro and are adjustable the canopy will fit virtually all infant car seats.  The large button on the straps is a nice finishing touch that adds that extra pop – so adorable and stylish.

I leave the Carseat Canopy on Willow’s infant seat at all times because you never know when the weather is going to get nasty – like when we visited Cedar Point for HalloWeekends.  It rained and rained and rained while we were there yet she stayed warm and dry underneath her stylish canopy.  I wish I woulda had one big enough to hide under, hehe.  Then when we were leaving the park I discovered another awesome use for the canopy.  I needed to change her diaper and so I spread the canopy out in the back of our Ford Escape and had a nice large soft minky spot to change her.  Don’t mind all the luggage and baby gear – we also spent the night in a hotel there, hehe.
