Have you ever stopped to read the ingredient list on your favorite box of cereal?  What’s in there just may surprise you…. so many have ingredients that would only make sense if a rocket scientist was decoding them.  What happened to simple wholesome ingredients so that we can start our families days on the right foot?  Well, look no further than the Kellogg’s boxes because they know this is what mom’s want and their delicious cereals have stayed pretty much the same since 1906!

We received an awesome selection of Kellogg’s cereals to try out…

All of the cereals shown above started with the goodness of a single grain harvested from different areas of the United States.  From these simple grains Kellogg’s combines seven or less common ingredients plus many of the vitamins and minerals families need to start their days of nutritiously.  And just so you know I’m telling the honest to goodness truth check out this list of cereals (pictured above) and their ingredients.

All-Bran Original:  wheat bran, sugar, malt flavor, salt
Raisin Bran:  wheat, raisins, wheat bran, sugar, brown sugar syrup, salt, malt flavor
Rice Krispies Gluten Free:  brown rice, sugar, salt
Rice Krispies:  rice, sugar, salt, malt flavor
Corn Flakes:  corn, sugar, malt flavor, salt

I love knowing that with Kellogg’s my family is starting their day off with wholesome simple ingredients.  But something else I love is that these cereals can be added in as ingredients to other meals as well!  For example if you take the Corn Flakes and crush them up you will be left with the perfect coating for chicken breast – what an awesome way to use cereal at dinner time.  Of course you could just eat a bowl of cereal at dinner (we’ve done this a time or two), but instead check out the Kellogg’s recipes and you will find hundreds of ways to use these delicious cereals in other meals.
