It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for the weekly Willow update!  I enjoyed writing my pregnancy journal and sharing my journey with everyone so much that I have decided to continue by writing about Willow’s first year.  And so each week I will be sharing how my baby girl is growing and changing plus lots of pictures!

PICTURES FROM WILLOW’S 7th WEEK

WHAT WILLOW’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…

Sleeping:  Willow is spending more and more time awake checking out the world around her.  She still sleeps great at night…. typically falls asleep around 9pm and sleeps til about 2-3am.  Wakes up to nurse and falls back asleep til about 6am.  She wakes up to nurse again and then will sleep til about 9:30am if I don’t have to wake her to take Alleigh to school or if the big girls don’t bother her.  She doesn’t need to be swaddled anymore, but she still sleeps in her Fisher-Price Rock n Play Sleeper with her aden+anais swaddle blanket draped over her lap so she can touch them.

Eating:  Well Willow had her first official spit up this week…. making it over 6 weeks – not too shabby.  But gosh when this kiddo does something it’s go big or go home.  Let’s just say it was A LOT, but hasn’t happened since – so yay!  Also I have noticed I am able to eat things that I wasn’t able to when she was only a couple weeks old and it’s not bothering her like pizza.

Diapers:  I’m still mainly using prefolds and covers, but have also started experimenting with some of the one size pocket diapers we have…. there are quite a few that fit her well.  Of course it makes her butt look enormous, but there’s nothing cuter than a fluffy butt, hehe.

Places She Went:  This week Willow went to church where she slept through the service, hehe.  She also went to a charity auction with mama and Aunt Courtney then to visit her new best friend Emma Renee at the hospital.  She also went to the Akron Zoo and slept while mama carried her around in the Joovy BabaSling.

Other Random Stuff:  Willow is smiling so much more now and is beginning to get more and more control of her head and neck.  She also has discovered she can make sounds and it cracks me up when she does then gets a look of amazement on her face.  So cute.
