2012 Holiday Gift Guide: aden+anais cozy sleeping bag Review

I may have a teeny tiny obsession with aden+anais.  Willow has been a a logowrapped in their swaddling blankets from birth because I was sure to pack a few in my hospital bag.  Kaelyn cuddles up with not one, but two dream blankets every night – she thieved her big sisters, hehe – and her mattress is covered in an aden+anais crib sheet.  And after bath time Willow is dried with her big soft aden+anais hooded towel.  There is just something magical about muslin.  It is durable and gentle. Soft and strong. Breathable and comfortable. Time-tested and pure. And once you have snuggled up with some there is no going back… nothing else will ever be soft enough or perfect enough for the precious little ones in your life.

I knew oncSugar Plume Willow began breaking out of her swaddles that it would be time to move to the aden+anais sleeping bags.  I absolutely love these sleeping bags because they are designed to be worn over pajamas creating a safe sleep environment for my Willow Jean with the elimination of loose blankets.  There are two options available – Classic & Cozy.  The classic collection is a single layer of muslin much like the swaddle blankets where as the cozy collection has four layers of muslin making it perfect for our chilly Ohio winter nights.  Willow received a cozy sleeping bag in sugar plum to try out.

As I already mentioned the aden+anais cozy sleeping bags are safe because they eliminate loose blankets in the crib and are warm thanks to the four layers of super soft muslin.  In fact they just get softer and softer with each wash which is something you can’t say about most fabrics.  And even though the four layers of muslin will keep your little one warm it is also very breathable thanks to the open weave which helps reduce the risk of overheating.  Oh and they are also available in three sizes so you can be sure to get the perfect fit.  At the moment Willow is wearing the size small which fits from 23” to 28” long and 10 to 18 pounds or up to 6 months.  She just turned 4 months old on December 18th and has plenty of room to grow.

Each night I put a long sleeve onesie on Willow and then her cozy sleeping bag which zips from top to bottom.  Zipping from top to bottom keeps the zipper hardware away from her face and also makes diapering at night a breeze since the sleeping bag can remain on throughout the change.

Willow’s happy because she’s nice and cozy plus can still kick her feet around.  Mama is happy because Willow is warm, safe, and sleeps well.  And it’s all thanks to aden+anais!  Be sure to visit the aden+anais website to see all the other awesome products they have available that will make your life, easier, safer, and more enjoyable too.  And let me just say -  I literally screamed with delight when I saw that there is now an aden+anais adult sized dream blanket available now.  Every time I have wrote about aden+anais on my blog I mentioned how jealous I am of my kiddos and how I wish that there was an adult sized blanket and now there is…. now to get me one!

  1. OMGosh the photo of the two of you – SO CUTE! I only have 1 crib sheet from a+a and I love it. I’ve been meaning to get some of their swaddling blankets but haven’t gotten around to it just yet. I love that purple color too – I didn’t know they made sleeping bags.

  2. I LOVE that it zips from top to bottom; This would have been amazing to have with my kiddos when they were babies. I always hated having to undress them to change their diapers in the winter time.
I’ve never had the muslin blanket before… I’d love to have one for my little guy.

  3. We are obsessed with Aden + Anais too!! We’ve got a towel, wash clothes, a sleep sac, 2 swaddle blankets, and Little Man’s prized possession – his Dream Blanket! We LOVE them all!! I love that the sleep sacs zip DOWN!! So great!! I’m hoping to get a few more sleep sacs for him. I’d love a couple of the heavier ones, we’ve got some cold nights too! :)

  4. Our little Elanora is liking sleep sacks, too, and we LOVE our aden + anais blankets. I definitely am going to be getting one of these sleeping bags soon!

I LOVE these things! We have one for baby Addy but she is outgrowing it too fast! We need to get the next size up. I love that they have prints and solid colors available and the zipper that closes at the bottom is genius!

Adorable! I love it… the sleep sacks they had when my kiddos were little don’t compare. :)

Great pictures. The aden and anais product line is consistently great and a great choice for natural baby products. The swaddles were my favorite shower gift.
