Watch Willow Grow: 19 Weeks

WWG

It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for the weekly Willow update!  I enjoyed writing my pregnancy journal and sharing my journey with everyone so much that I have decided to continue by writing about Willow’s first year.  And so each week I will be sharing how my baby girl is growing and changing plus lots of pictures!

WHAT WILLOW’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…

Sleeping:  Willow has been sleeping in her Fisher-Price Rock n Play Sleeper until about two in the morning.  After that she prefers to be right by mama, but that cute little smile is the best thing to wake up to so I don’t mind at all.

Eating:  She has been eating more at night and not so much during the day.  I think mainly because she gets distracted eating during the day by everything going around her.  This has also led to some pretty uncomfortable milk makers for mama, hehe.

A First:  Christmas!  Willow was spoiled by everyone… and has a whole new wardrobe to show for it plus loads of toys.  She liked grabbing at the paper and trying to eat it, hehe.  I think her favorite gifts were a soft owl print blankie and a new Sophie the Giraffe teether.

Places She Went:  Great Grandma Nellie’s, Great Grandma Jean’s, Gramma Patty’s, Great Aunt Cindy & Great Uncle Larry’s, Nan & Pap’s…… all for Christmas – yes we do a lot of running around for the holidays.  Willow also had her four month well check-up.  Oh and T.G.I.Fridays.

Other Random Stuff:  “Talking” all the time and still pouring buckets of drool.  Instead of sucking her thumb Willow is now preferring her index and middle finger.  Sometimes she gets them too far into her mouth which leads to some gagging…. so hopefully she figures that connection out soon.

A Visit with Dr. Tom:  Friday Willow had her four month well check-up.  She is doing great besides a bit of a snotty nose.  And growing like a week – munchkin is up to 13 pounds 4 ounces and 25 inches long.  That means she is at the 25th percentile for weight and 75th percentile length…. she just may tower over her short mama someday!  Oh and Willow also had four vaccinations (3 shots, 1 oral).  Of course this didn’t please her, but once I started nursing her she calmed right down.  Last night she didn’t sleep well, was fussy, and a touch feverish but is doing much better today.

  1. Love that photo of you and her! And what kind of cover is on her seat? I have the Bundle Me but it’s kinda awkward.
