Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  It seems the most common Valentine’s Day presents include chocolates, flowers, jewelry, and stuffed animals…. but do you really want any of that?  I’ll admit that jewelry – especially diamonds – can be pretty exciting, but the only jewelry I wear on a daily basis is my wedding ring.  I would much rather receive a gift that I would get lots of use out of like a small appliance – maybe I’m crazy, maybe I’m not – you decide!  And lucky for my husband some of the small appliances I have my eye on can be found at his favorite store – Best Buy!

Ever since Dustin and I moved in together we have not owned a coffee pot of any sort because neither of us drink coffee – makes sense, hehe.  Then while staying in a suite while on a little weekend trip our room had a Keurig 1-Cup Mini Brewer in it.  I had always thought Keurig’s were just for coffee, but I was so wrong!  This awesome small appliance uses K-cups to make individual sercings and there are so many choices which include way more than just coffee.  In fact you can even make hot chocolate.  When I realized that I was totally sold and so was Dustin.  And so this would be a gift that both Dustin and I would enjoy as well as guests that wish we had a coffee pot, like my mom.

One other small appliance that I would love to add to my kitchen is the KitchenAid Ultra Power Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in Empire Red. For those of you that have been sitting here thinking I’m crazy for wanting a small appliance – at least this is a red appliance… get it… red… Valentine’s Day, hehe.  So at the moment I’m not much of a cook or baker, but if I had one of these beauties sitting on the counter in my kitchen I think I would be pretty inclined to give it a shot – wouldn’t you?
