A few weeks ago I shared that my family was super excited that Monster Jam would be visiting Cleveland, Ohio the weekend of February 15th – 17th. I admit I may not be your typical women because I totally think monster trucks are way better than chocolates or flowers. Which is why I love that Monster Jam visits Cleveland, Ohio around Valentine’s Day every year. We had a great time attending the Pit Party and show last week – especially Alleigh!
We have been attending the Monster Jam shows for quite a few years now, but this was our families first time to attend a Pre-Show Pit Party. This was our chance to get up close and personal. We were able to meet the monster truck drivers, take pictures with them, and get their autographs. Not to mention get up close to the actual monster trucks. They look big from your seats, but up close…. woah! We also got to check out the dirt bikes and four-wheelers. Alleigh loved getting to sit on a four-wheeler and we just might have our own little dare devil because she told me she needs one her size!
If you are going to be attending a Monster Jam Show I highly suggest checking into getting Pre-Show Pit Party Passes. They were only $10 in addition to our tickets and it was definitely a great time.
When the show was about ready to start Willow and I headed out… she’s not a fan of things on her head so I didn’t think it would be easy to keep ear protection on her during the show. Monster Jam shows are crazy loud so be sure to bring ear protection with you or you can buy them at the show. They even sell ear covers that look like monster truck tires for the kiddos. ANd so I left Dustin, Alleigh, Kaelyn, and my dad (Pap to the girls) at the show and they had a wonderful time… I was a tad jealous. Next year!!
During the show the monster trucks competed in three different competitions which included wheelies, drag racing, and freestyle. Alleigh was a bit bummed that her favorite monster truck – Grave Digger – didn’t do too well that evening, but Son-uva Digger won freestyle so that cheered her up. In addition to the monster trucks there were also quad wars and freestyle motocross. The freestyle motocross was definitely the girls favorite part of the evening and they are still talking about the crazy tricks the dirt bike riders were doing. I imagine Alleigh wants to do that too, oyyy!!
Monster Jam may have already left Cleveland, Ohio but they have plenty more stops to make all over the United States. Check out this list for a full schedule of shows – it is definitely an event the whole family will enjoy. The girls are still talking about the show a week later and cuddling with their Grave Digger monster trucks every night.
Oh and don’t forget about the Pre-Show Pit Passes!
