When you hear Chipotle what comes to mind?  Most likely deliciousness, hehe.  But exactly why is it so scrumptious?  It’s because Chipotle uses only the freshest most high-quality raw ingredients and prepares them using classic cooking methods.  Their committed to using ingredients raised responsibly – with respect for the farmers, the animals and the environment. They take pride in sourcing as many of our high-quality ingredients as we can from local and family farmers who are committed to sustainable agriculture.  Now that is my kind of restaurant.  And when Chipotle reached out to me to check out their new online store full of Loomstate apparel for the entire family I was all for it…. but then I thought why is an awesome Mexican Grill selling clothes?

Well guess what.  There is a connection and an awesome one.

Think about it… food and clothing ultimately start from the same place, the farm.  And together Chipotle and Loomstate have a joint commitment to environmental and social responsibility, with a focus on the highest standards in the ingredients they use, the materials they source, and their methods of production.  This partnership first began with a goal of outfitting every Chipotle employee in 100% certified organic cotton and so now when visiting your local Chipotle you will know that all of the graphic tees, polos, henleys, woven shirts and hats you see have been created using organic and sustainable materials and socially-responsible methods of production from Loomstate who is widele recognized as a pioneer of sustainable fashion.

And then they realized that if their customers love eating at Chipotle they just might want to rock some of these awesome shirts too and so they decided to expand past their uniforms and offer them up to their awesome fans.  So now on at the Chipotle Store you will find a line of apparel for the entire family that has been designed, sourced, and produced to convey the spirit of Chipotle with the design sensibilities of Loomstate.

I was very excited to pick out a few shirts for my girls.

The shirts on my big girls are called the Chipotle Grow Row Toddler Tee and let me tell ya these shirts are SO soft.  Alleigh gives me all kinds of issues when it comes to clothing regarding texture and fit, but when she put this shirt on the first thing she said was “Oh this is really comfy!”  And for that Chipotle and Loomstate I thank you – seriously, from the bottom of my heart thank you.  The reason it is so soft is because it’s made of 100% organic cotton plus it’s printed with water-based dyes and low-impact printing methods.  The design features some of the ingredients you will find while dining at Chipotle and even includes a row of burritos.  I did notice that after washing and drying that the shirts shrunk up a bit so I would suggest ordering a size up.

Just like the toddler tee Willow’s Naturally Raised Onesie is also made of ultra-soft 100% organic cotton with non-chorine whiteners and water based dyes and prints.  I just fell in love with this onesie from the moment I saw it… everything from the color to the words just made my day.  Obviously the “Naturally Raised” is referring to Chipotle and Loomstate’s dedication to using natural and organic products, but that’s also the same stand I take when raising my girls being a breastfeeding and cloth diapering momma.  And so this onesie speaks volumes for who we are and where we like to eat.  I would also size up when ordering onesies as this is a size 6 to 12 months and is fitting a bit snug – Willow typically wears 6 months.
