KidCo Go-Pod: Ultra Light Portable Activity Seat Review & Giveaway

Willow loves playing in her jumperoo at home and exersaucer while visiting Nan and Pap since she can sit up and reach her toys all by herself.  But those aren’t the only two places we hang out.  Every Monday night I participate in a ladies bowling league with my mom and a few other women.  Through out three games my mom and I are handing Willow back and forth after each frame which means as soon as she begins playing with something she has to move.  I kept thinking it would be so awesome if I could take her jumperoo or exersaucer with us to the bowling alley so she wouldn’t have to be passed around constantly, could play with her toys, and be able to see mom.  I knew that transporting either of those huge items along with my bowling bag and diaper bag would be literally impossible so I started my search.  I wanted a seat that resembled a jumperoo or exersaucer, but packed up small so that I could take it everywhere we go.  And I found it!

The KidCo Go-Pod.  This is an ultra lightweight, portable activity seat that was developed as an alternative to bulky, stationary activity centers.  Exactly what I was looking for – yay!!

GoPod

Last week when I walked into the bowling alley with the super light weight (7 pound) Go-Pod over my shoulder some of the women thought I had brought my own folding chair with me.  I told them they were kinda right, but this chair wasn’t for me… it was for Willow. When I pulled it out of the storage bag and set it up they couldn’t believe that an entire baby activity seat was inside that small bag.  Plus there is convenient pocket to stash small items like cell phone, wallet, keys, or even a diaper and small pack of wipes.

Once unfolded the Go-Pod measures 24”W x 24”Go-Pod AdjustableL x 19.5”H at it’s lowestGo-Pod Height setting and locks in place.  When ready to pack the Go-Pod away simply push in the locking button which is near one of the foot bases to collapse.  It also has four easily adjustable height positions so that baby will have appropriate feet/leg positioning as they grow and is recommended for four months until baby learns to walk.  Even though Willow is on the taller side (75th percentile) at six months old she is currently using the lowest setting so we will be able to get lots of use out of the Go-Pod.

There are five nylon toy loops that are perfect for Willow’s linking rings which then connect to her toys.  I love that I don’t have to play the “pick-up” game all evening, hehe.  The Go-Pod also has a cup and snack holder which will be perfect when Willow gets a little older since we just started introducing solids.  I also love the floor pad because Willow isn’t a fan of socks and shoes the majority of the time so this helps keep her feet from touching surfaces I don’t want them too…. like the bowling alley floor.  It will also be great in the summer time when outside because I remember my older girls not being a fan of their feet touching the grass when they were small.

And as you can tell Willow is quite happy playing in the Go-Pod.  She has her toys within reach.  She’s comfy.  Can see everything going on around her.  This is definitely the product I was looking for and does exactly what I need.
