It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for the weekly Willow update!  I enjoyed writing my pregnancy journal and sharing my journey with everyone so much that I have decided to continue by writing about Willow’s first year.  And so each week I will be sharing how my baby girl is growing and changing plus lots of pictures!

PICTURES FROM WILLOW’S 25th WEEK

WHAT WILLOW’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…

Sleeping:  She either starts the night out in her Arm’s Reach Co-Sleeper or Fisher Price Rock n Play Sleeper…. once she wakes up to nurse the first time she just stays in bed with mama.  I just love waking up to that adorable smiling face each morning.

Eating:  Exclusively breast fed and growing like a weed.  Willow is now 14 pounds 13 ounces and 24.75” long… we found out her weight and height on a trip to see Dr. Tom this week.

A Visit With Dr. Tom:  Willow’s eyes had discharge in them for a few days and were really gunky in the mornings…. to the point of having to wipe them clean for her to be able to open them.  Yet they weren’t red/pink and so I made an appointment to make sure everything was ok.  After checking them out and finding that Willow also had a small amount of fluid in her left ear Dr. Tom gave me the option of either doing an oral antibiotic or eye drops…. we went with the eye drops and just a few days later she is almost back to normal.  Just a little bit of discharge when she sleeps long periods of time, but other wise great.

Places She Went:  To the bowling alley (of course), shopping with mama, a visit with Dr. Tom, to get our taxes done (she’s such a cute tax deduction, hehe)  and to Castaway Bay Indoor Water Park for a blogger event – a post is coming very soon about that.

Other Random Stuff:  Willow thinks her toes are the best thing ever.  I can’t keep socks on her anymore and don’t even really try.  She’s been laughing out loud for a while now, but is starting to do it much more frequently now.  I just can’t get enough of those baby giggles.  Oh and she is also very “grabby” now.  If big sister’s get their hair too close she definitely takes every chance to grab handfuls, hehe.  Same things go for mama’s computer, the remote control, cell phones…. anything she can get those little fingers on.
