Review & Giveaway

I remember being a tiny little first grader and finding out I needed glasses.  My parents took me to a store where the walls were full of glasses and after receiving my first pair I couldn’t believe the difference in my eye sight.  It was literally like a whole new world when I put those little round frames on my face and is a fond memory that sticks with me to this day.  What’s not so fond is how many pairs of glasses I have gone through over the past 22 years and how much money has been spent.  I know that every time I have purchased a pair of glasses from a local brick and mortar store even with insurance included I have shelled out IMG_9725a couple hundred dollars and my parents did the same when I was a kiddo.  Now with three children of my own to provide for it is just not in my budget to spend a ridiculous amount of money on glasses.  Especially when I know there is a high chance of them getting lost, broken, or bent with three kids under the age of five in my home… see that picture to the left?  My glasses endure this and much more on a daily basis.  Not to mention wearing the same glasses gets boring and I like to change up my look every so often which just isn’t a possibility if each pair of glasses costs an arm and a leg.  Luckily there is another option that I am excited to share with you.

At it is estimated that the average customer will save 70% over retail prices – that is HUGE!  They are able to pass these awesome savings over to the customer because the frames and lenses are purchased directly from the manufacturer. By removing the middleman they are able to  eliminate unnecessary fees and mark-ups from exporters, importers, wholesalers, and retailers.  Plus the selection is so much bigger than any amount of glasses that could fit into one brick & mortar store including men’s, women’s, sunglasses, and more.

With such a huge selection it may seem difficult to find exactly what you are looking for, but has simplified that as well.  On the left hand side of the screen are lots of choices to help you narrow your search including gender, price, lens type, frame, shape, material, width, and color.  After selecting my preferences I was presented with a selection of glasses that were exactly my style.  Including the ones I ended up choosing!

Something else I loved was that the price listed on the frames includes 1.50 durable standard lenses.  There are upgrades that can be selected if you would like lighter thinner lenses, but even those upgrades prices are minimal in comparison to what I have been accustomed to paying for my eye glasses.  Another premium feature that you will receive for free at is scratch-resistant coating – this alone ranges $30-$50 elsewhere.  This coating adds scratch resistance, basic anti-glare, smudge proof, and makes them easy to clean.  You can also choose to add premium water repellant coating, anti-reflective coating, and UV coating for an added minimal fee.

Ordering my glasses was also extremely simple.  I didn’t have my lens prescription on hand so I called into my optometrist’s office and was given my Pupillary Distance (PD), Sphere (SPH), Cylinder (CYL), and Axis which I easily entered into the appropriate fields on the order screen.  There is also the option to upload your prescription directly and attach it to your order if you prefer to do it that way as well.  Roughly a week after placing my order my glasses arrived to me complete with a hard case and microfiber cleaning cloth.  I was very pleased with the quality of my glasses and also loved how they look on me.

I admit ordering eye glasses on line worried me a bit at first and I needed to make sure that if I didn’t like them I had the option of returning or exchanging and definitely had me covered by protecting every purchase with a 90 day money back guarantee.

Ready to give a try?  Head on over and check out the huge selection plus when you use the code FREESHIP you will receive free shipping on orders over $59!  Before you head over make sure to enter the giveaway below.  The winner will be presented with a list of regular eye glasses or sunglasses to choose from – please note these are for single vision prescription lenses.  If you have a more complex prescription please feel free to enter but there will be a cost to upgrade to a different prescription type.  Enter below by filling out the Giveaway Tools form.  Good luck!

Modern glasses are typically supported by pads on the bridge of the nose and by temple arms (sides) placed over the ears. CR-39 lenses are the most common plastic lenses due to their low weight, high scratch resistance, low dispersion, and low transparency to ultraviolet and infrared radiation.;-
