Share, Tweet, Pin, or Watch to Share Breakfast with a Child in Need

It’s a fact that saddens me, but a fact none the less that one in five kids may go without breakfast each morning.  Knowing this makes me so thankful that we are able to provide a refrigerator and pantry full of food for our little ones to choose from to start their day off right.  And on the days that Alleigh goes to prekindergarten she is also provided with a healthy start to her day there as well.  But so many kids do not have this basic need met.  How can they concentrate on filling their minds with knowledge or exerting energy on the playground if their stomach is full of nothing but hunger pangs?

But guess what?  Even if you think there is nothing that you can do as just one person – you can help fill those kiddos bellies!  Read on to learn more.

Together Kellogg’s and celebrity dad Taye Diggs have partnered for the third consecutive Share Breakfast initiative.  It’s really quite simple…families across the country can share a breakfast with a child in need by simply sharing a public service announcement featuring Diggs on the Share Breakfast website. For each view, share and comment, Kellogg’s will share a breakfast with a child in need.  So what’s stopping you?  Join me, Kellogg’s, and Taye Diggs to share one million breakfasts with kids in need through grants to schools or school districts to help them increase their participation in school breakfast programs.

Head over to the Share Breakfast website and share, tweet, pin, or watch a YouTube video.  It’s really that simple… a few clicks of the mouse to help a child who may other wise go without breakfast.  “Just imagine what kids across the country could accomplish if they each had a great start every day. That’s why I am partnering with Kellogg’s and the Share Breakfast program to help make this a reality,” said Diggs. “Join me in raising one million breakfasts to help get America’s kids the start they deserve.”

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kellogg’s. I received a product sample as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

  3. I like when they make things so easy to raise money for a cause because more people are likely to do it. Thanks for spreading the word. I know for myself that breakfast is a vital part of how I function during a given day and I always make sure my kids eat a healthy breakfast especially before school.
