It’s Sunday so I’m a tad late, but it’s time for the weekly Willow update! I enjoyed writing my pregnancy journal and sharing my journey with everyone so much that I have decided to continue by writing about Willow’s first year. And so each week I will be sharing how my baby girl is growing and changing plus lots of pictures!

WHAT WILLOW’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…
Sleeping: Willow is finally back to feeling like her normal self and that means sleeping is back to normal too! yay! She nurses and then goes to sleep in her Fisher Price Rock-n-Play Sleeper and sleeps there until about 2am. She wakes up to eat again and then co-sleeps with mama the rest of the night.
Eating: We added some new foods into the mix this week. Willow loved frozen blueberries in her Munchkin mesh feeder and made quite the mess of herself, hehe. We also tried sweet potatoes which I sliced into long thin french fry like pieces and baked and they were also a huge hit. I also decided to give bananas another shot and left some peel on this time so they were easier for her to hold on to and she seemed to do much better with them. Willow also hit a huge baby led weaning milestone this week. Instead of gumming and spitting her food out she actually moved some to the back of her mouth and swallowed it! The proof was in her diaper, hehe. Funny story… Dustin changed this diaper while I was dropping Alleigh off at school, but he knew I would be so excited that he left it for me to see. Only a mom would get excited about chunky food poop.
Diapers: Still in sposies since we have a few more days of antibiotics to get through, but I am so excited to be done with it.. wanna know why? I have sold lots of my cloth diaper stash and have replaced them with new and new to me diapers… including a ton of new AppleCheeks. Oh my gosh, I am so excited to get them on Willow’s little bum. Speaking of AppleCheeks – If anyone has a size 2 Lake Echo they want to part with send me an e-mail!
A First… Willow can sit up unassisted! Earlier this week I decided to give it a shot and she would stay up for a few seconds at a time. But now she can sit there for quite a few minutes and can even play with toys while sitting up. I really can’t believe how fast she is growing. It seems like just yesterday she was a bitty baby swaddled in my arms…. definitely bitter sweet.
