This past Saturday Willow, my mom, and I headed to The Breastfeeding Center in Massillon, Ohio to attend The Great Cloth Diaper Change for my third consecutive year. In 2011 it was a tad breezy out, but still a nice day…. in 2012 it was rainy… and this year it was snowing – little flurries, but still it was snow and at our location we do this outside. But for us cloth diaper crazies not even a bit of snow flurries will stop us from trying to set a Guinness World Record, hehe. Here’s a peek at how our day went…
We arrived at about 10:15am to check in and there was a great selection of muffins, juice, and water. Seriously, I want one of those muffins now, hehe.
At about 10:40 everyone headed outside and waited in line to enter the tent. I loved seeing all the different types of baby carriers.
Once I spread our blanket out and took off my Boba carrier we had about ten minutes to hang out before the actual change would start. Willow had a blast playing with her AppleCheeks Beet It diaper. She kept trying to pull the little piece of masking tape off that was covering the logo – a Guinness requirement since pictures would be taken before, during, and after the event. I joked that she wanted to show off her AppleCheeks, hehe.
A few minutes before 11am we took a picture of everyone holding their diapers high in the air… check out all those different kinds.
Then at 11am it was diaper changing time.
Once all the babies had fresh fluffy butts we took another picture and got those babies warm again… they must have thought we were nuts!
Then it was time for giveaways! Betsy always lines up some pretty awesome prizes. And I was thrilled to hear my name announced as the winner of a Bravado nursing bra. So excited! We also received a goodie bags full of great samples including a set of Bamboobies and Eco Nuts.
Even with the snow flurries there were still 36 adult/child pairs at our location. Next year I’m hoping for some warm weather and sun, hehe.
