Alleigh was a bit challenging when it came to potty learning.  She was just a month shy of turning four before she was completely accident free during the day time.  Night time took quite a while longer.  I remember feeling very frustrated that she could stay dry all day, but would wake up in the middle of the night wet needing new sheets and pajamas.

I decided to do a little research on bed wetting and discovered that it is a very common occurrence.  In fact 15% of five year olds are not dry every night, but the good news is 85% of children outgrow bedwetting without any form of treatment.  So why can’t they stay dry at night?  Staying dry during the day occurs when the child can consciously inhibit the bladder-emptying reflex and night time control occurs when the child can unconsciously inhibit that same reflex.  This means that bedwetting is a communication problem between the brain and the bladder where the child literally sleeps through his or her bladder signals.  And so just like children hit developmental milestones like walking and talking at different ages they will also hit the developmental milestone of staying dry through the night at a different age.  So how do we keep our children confident and comfortable until their bladder reaches it’s full maturity?  White Cloud Sleep Pants!

White Cloud Sleep Pants

White Cloud Sleep Pants are available exclusively at Walmart and are available in two sizes – S/M (45-65 pounds) and L/XL (60-125 pounds).  One of the things Alleigh loved most about being dry during the day was that she got to pick out lots of cool underwear and so she was very excited to see that the White Cloud Sleep Pants also had fun “big kid” patterns on them like stars and peace signs in gender neutral colors.  Plus the soft stretchy sides made them fit just like real underwear.

They are also very thin, discrete, and super absorbent so that your child can feel confident attending sleepovers with their friends without worrying that they might wet the bed.  something that mom (and dad) will appreciate is that they are very reasonably priced at just $7.75 a package.

So that you can get an idea of fit – Alleigh is a petite five year old at about 36 pounds so she is nearly 10 pounds under the recommended weight range for the size small.  The White Cloud Sleep Pants aren’t overly big on her, but would definitely fit a child that is in the suggested weight range much trimmer and be much more discrete under pajamas.

So just remember that staying dry at night is all about your child’s brain and bladder learning how to communicate with one another.  For some children this might occur fast and for other’s it may take a bit longer.  As I mentioned before, Alleigh was accident free during the day time just before turning four, but didn’t achieve night time dryness until nearly five years old.  While you are waiting for your child to reach that milestone as well you can save your sanity – we all know changing sheets and pajamas in the middle of the night is no fun – and your child’s confidence by purchasing some White Cloud Sleep Pants.  Check them out the next time you visit your local Walmart.

Did you know that over 5 million kids a year experience bedwetting and it is one of the most common experiences during childhood development?

White Cloud Sleep Pants have been developed to provide exceptional comfort and leakage protection while looking like underwear. White Cloud Sleep Pants offer thin, discrete absorbent protection for your child. They have soft, stretchy sides that fit like real underwear, plus leak guards to help protect against leaks. The soft inner liner is hypoallergenic and treated with vitamin E and aloe for skin protection.  Each bag contains two unisex graphic designs and at $7.75, White Cloud offers exceptional value.

I am entering this stage with my 4 1/2 year old twin girls. They struggle with keeping dry at night so I have them in pull-ups at night, but they are always complaining about how rough and uncomfortable they feel. These sound like they’re much more comfortable. They’re not even close to the weight minimum yet but I’m definitely keeping these in mind for the future.

Thank you so much for the review! My seven year old daughter has been wearing pampers size 7 to bed and they work great, she is also very tall and thin. I will have to order these and give them a try as I would like to move her into a more training pant type of diaper.
