Never Wordless Wednesday: Lost World Caverns {Lewisburg, West Virginia}

On the way home from our vacation at Virginia Beach we decided to break up the long drive home with a little sight seeing.  We stopped at the Lost World Caverns in Lewisburg, West Virginia since it was pretty much half way between the beach and home.  A few hours before we arrived at the caverns I told Alleigh and Kaelyn what we would be doing and they responded with a “Nooooo we don’t want to go in a cave!!!” and so I *may* have said something along the lines of “ok we won’t do that then.”  But then we went anyway, I promise I’m not a mean mom…. I knew they would have fun once they got in the cavern and realized it wasn’t dark, spooky, and full of bats.  And I was right – for the most part.  They did enjoy walking through and checking out all the cool formations, but they were a little unsure about the whole experience too.  Regardless they weren’t scared and it was a fun time for the entire family to share together.

    That looks like so much fun- and so pretty! I do the same thing with Shane sometimes, when I know he won’t be scared once he tries something- that’s how I got him to watch Wreck It Ralph. He was scared because Ralph is a “bad guy” so I told him it was just a preview.. 30 minutes in he realized it was the real movie but was already into it lol
