It’s now early Wednesday AM which means I’m super late for the Watch Willow Grow update. I was super busy over the weekend preparing for Willow’s birthday party and then my computer died. I’m currently waiting on a new one to be delivered tomorrow, but in the mean time my mom was generous enough to let me borrow hers. And so now I can share all about Willow’s 52nd week. Holy cow my baby is 1 year old. Well actually she turned 1 on Sunday and so this update will go through Saturday and there will be a separate post all about her birthday party which we were able to have on her actual birthday.

WHAT WILLOW’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE…
Sleeping: Willow is still having some rough sleep patterns…. not staying asleep long in her crib. She still needs nursed to sleep as well which isn’t a big deal to me. Just wish she’d stay asleep longer.
Eating: We did it. We made it to one whole year of breastfeeding! And now there is no goal… and there is no end. From here on out it is completely in Willow’s hands. When she decides to wean is when our breastfeeding journey will be over and from the looks of it that end is no where in sight. And I am quite happy about that. I would really like her to nurse her at least through this fall and winter to hopefully keep her nice and healthy and avoid another occurrence of RSV.
Diapers: Willow has been looking so cute in her AppleCheeks. Their the only cloth diaper we use now. Still using sposies at night… I need to suck it up and just try a super stuffed AppleCheeks at night, but I’m afraid of leaking. Check out Willow’s rainbow.
Places She Went: This week we went to a local swimming pool with Nan & Pap and we also used our zoo pass again to visit the Akron Zoo. Other than that we did a lot of running around to pick up party supplies for Willow’s first birthday and did lots of preparations at home too. Willow enjoyed watching me make a piñata from scratch just for her!
Tomorrow I will be posting pictures sharing Willow’s 1st birthday. I just can’t believe my baby is one year old. I’ve been trying to decide if I should continue with the weekly Willow updates. Babies still tend to change a whole lot through their second year… like talking more and Willow hasn’t had her first steps yet. What do you think? Should I continue with weekly updates through the second year or cut it back to monthly? Let me know!
